News that Hatem Ben Arfa has only just arrived at Hull City to complete his move to the club after late developments this afternoon – and it’s not surprising he has been mobbed by Hull City fans.
Hatem Ben Arfa arriving tonight at Hull City and adoring fans.
Certainly Ben Arfa seemed happy enough when he arrived at the ground, and Hull fans were there to welcome the mercurial winger, who has played his last game for Newcastle.
Hull have obtained an extension from the FA to complete the deal – so the deal should be done in the early hours, but it could take an hour or two to complete since he will still need to complete a medical.
And Newcastle fans have taken to Twitter demonstrating their anger at the move, and there is some bad feeling towards manager Alan Pardew – who fell out with Ben Arfa in a dressing room row last season – and Ben Arfa has been training with the Reserves all season, basically treated as a pariah – and was not on any of Newcastle’s pre-season tours, and dint play at all in pre-season.
He was told by Alan Pardew this afternoon he had no future at the club, and was basically forced out so Newcastle could save on his wages and also get a loan fee from Hull for the season-long loan – so once again at Newcastle money is King with a capital K.
Ben Arfa will become a free agent next summer, and he could be in big demand again if he plays well at Hull – so this could be a good move for him – at least he will play games.
When Ben Arfa said he wanted to join a club in the Premier League, in stepped Geordie manager Steve Bruce at Hull and it looks like Bruce will pull of an incredible coup for his club in the wee hours of the morning.
Steve Bruce is a good man manager although he has admitted tonight that the Frenchman will be a challenge for him.
In case you haven’t heard, Newcastle did not bring in any new players today.

how the hell do you know that HBA’s attitude stinks?
Because Pardew said so, or because you read it on some blog or dodgy website?

My only disappoinent is that no one came in.
But as I said yesterday, it’s the manager and coaching staff that are the problem.

I have your answer….
The answer is you’re just another tosser who thinks we are entitled to top 4 champions league bcus we had a good season under Keegan in 1996 and a few good seasons under Bobby roboson 10 years ago. wake up
I would of liked a few CB’s today but how many world class CB’s have moved today around the world? very few….We are mid table at best and we are not a big pull anymore. Im dissapointed we havent signed any CB’s but ah well we will be fine, 3 games down and 2 pointss OH MY GOD, what a diaster, bunch of fools you are. Have patience.
Janmaat replaces debuchy
Cabella, colback, sime de jong replace cabaye
Perez, riviever, ferrerya – remy
id say weve been pretty good considering we have santon and cisse to come back, wise up you fool.

You see the same Ben Arfa as me mate….
He may do something brilliant once in every 3-4 matches and that is the problemz for every 3-4 games he plays only 1 game he looks a great player, and is a complete liability in the other 2-3 games…..
As stated if I had choice who to bring back Mbiwa would be my choice.
That is my opinion. Don’t really care if people agree or not, but I share it.
I read and respect other people’s opinions, or atleast most of the time, shame others cannot do the same simply because you have a different opinion than them.

Comment #89HBA is in the final year of contract, he will be a free agent next year…
He will run his socks off and dazzle the PL as he puts himself in the shop window, ready for a bumper contract at a bigger club as per Cabaye after he was promised a move when Arsenal came calling.
I bet hes just itching to get on the feild,,,,

I know someone who trains with the first team….. Not a first team player so to speak.
He played with my work colleague, and he’s at Newcastle now. I have met him several times and he has confirmed to me Ben Arfa and his attitude problems.
Causing the divide in the dressing room last season, or atleast attempting to.
He has no time for young players and is always first out the door and last in the door for training…..
I have no reason to doubt him considering he knows the lad, or atleast more than journos who twist the media and whatnot….

but when you taking into account the fact we have got one of the worst owners in football, all you will see come in is another d1ck head ie keane JFK di canio, what you will not see is a quality manager waste his life at a club who don’t have any ambition at all.
It is very sad for me to say this but i hope to god we are fcuken relegated into the championship this season and also hope we remain there until that b@stard gets lost.
Fans will never fully abandon the stadium so theres one lot of money still given.
the only other big money he could loose is premier league TV money.

Comment #95Pawl. I agree with you on HBA being a liability. Alan Pardew and Carr knew this before they bought him, so why did they buy him?
Piss poor planning and organisation which sums up Alan Pardew and his cronies.
Personally I think it’s classic that the fans have sided with HBA against Alan Pardew, that says it all about our manager for sure!!!

Comment #100Dulcinera the drama queens are out as normal making wild predictions that are not really calm assessments.
When things are not so good, they become the end if the world.
We will see but my guess is that we will muddle our way to mediocrity, that is pardew’s level with a decent (but not great squad) that we have.
Anything less and mash will get rid as he will not jeopardize his investment.
If there is no progress, he may come to the end of the road next summer.
It looks glum but not the disaster stuff people are going on about.

Comment #101How can it really benefit Ashley to run us at mid table. How does having a run of the mill, underperforming club plying its trade in front of a global audience best serve a much bigger business in Sports Direct. If he owned SD outright, in the same way that he does us, then surely he’d put the necessary readies in so it would benefit significantly from the higher profile. It’s surely that he has only the controlling interest in SD that stops him from putting his own cash in. It’s the only thing I can think of, because we must be well within the FFP guidelines. I can’t see the business sense in not paying a few extra mill to get a decent centre back and striker in, players that could easily have gotten us into Europe or at the very least made us that much more eye catching to watch. Dummett will likely play his share of games at centre back this year, that’s piss poor, coming out of a long transfer window.

I honestly belive if you replace Pardew Ben Arfa would have the same issues with a different manager….
If I were MA I would have let Benny go and Pardew for that matter.
He should have went after the Hull incident last season…..
If not for that, his results…..
Cannot defend Pardew for those, but I do blame him for Ben Arfa being a complete Co##

“Poor end to promising window”
Couldn’t agree more, one or two more signings would have been fantastic.
I can’t believe we didn’t try and get Alderweireld or Van Dike(Sp?) across the line. A clincial striker would have been icing on the cake but I just can’t see many on the market at the moment that wouldn’t cost an arm and a leg.

It’s frightening times, hope the players gel for the sake of the club. I’m finished with Pardew tho, think most fans will follow in the next 7 games. Not a wish for us to perform badly, just feel we have a very unbalanced squad / team and are weaker than we were in January this year! Too many players fudged into the wrong position because we are not balanced. We have too many no. 10s.
We sign chicly but don’t play him, Rivière is strong and powerful but does not look like he has a finished product. Perez IMO is by far the best striker prospect and would link up well with Cisse. Still woefully weak at the back Which HAS STILL NOT BEEN ADDRESSED!
Fundamental questions unanswered – comedy really

Hull city have a worse team than us than last season, regardless of the, buying diame, ramierez, hernandez. Ben arfa played for us most of last season and we still had a shite season, almost relegated. Loaning ben arfa to hull will PROVE ben arfa didnt’ make a difference to us and hopefully will wake up afew deluded toon fans who think he was the be all and end all for our club

So you are an ITK then?
Pardew has failed to manage the player, just like he’s done with dozens of player in the past, when a one dimensional manager come’s across a maverick he is lost as to what to do with him. The fact that HBA has gone and the like’s of a talentless Obertan is still in the squad should tell you everything you need to know about Pardew and how he views players.
How long before he ruin’s Cabella, Riviere, Aarons or De Jong as he’s done with HBA, Cisse, Mapou etc etc etc etc etc

Comment #109We lack 2 cbs now, and a goalscorer…..
I don’t think we have a bad midfield, and depth in that area is still pretty strong.
Upfront I cannot see anyone getting 10 gaols or more, perhaps Cisse if we play to his strengths and he gets on form…
As for defence…. STaylor is awful, Williamson would make a decent back up and Colo is past it….
We have issues. Puts us firmly in the midtable/relegation battle so 10th to 18th bracket…..

Facts are facts sonny.
I suppose you are happy with our current central defensive options, lack of goalscorers and the fact that we gave just conceded 3 goals at home against the mighty Crystal Palace in a game we were lucky to get anything from
I suppose you are also happy to have lost 39 out of 79 league games (almost 50%) over the past 2 and a bit seasons.
I suppose you are happy that we gave only won 5 out of the last 25 league games…..certain relegation form.
I suppose you are happy with the defensive tactics displayed by this manager.
I suppose you are also happy to watch the absolute shallackings we got last season which i am certain will happen again this season.
I can go on and on if you like.
You must be absolutely delighted with the quality and strength of the current squad.
And Cisse coming back in to save us?????????
Just like he gas done in the last 2 seasons?
Yeah, I am a right idiot.

No. i am not happy with our current CB options. I believe loaning lascelles back to Nott forest was a bad idea. Im disspointed we havnt brought in any cbs. An area we are obviously weak in. But i reiterate how many world class CB’s have transferred this deadline day? not many! considering we are mid table club doesn’t help!
I am not happy losing 29 out of 79 league games at all, but im still happy with that considering we’ve managed to stay in premier league becus we were a chamiponship side since 2009 ( a true reflection of our current decline since rosbson was sacked) we’ve only been in premier league 5 years. We finished 5th 2 years ago. How may championship teams can claim that 3 years after gaining promotion they finished 5th?

Comment #118Sometimes i just think to myself,
We must have some of the most NEGATIVE fans in england
Seriously, Spent £39m on players, thats a massive improvement, it means ashley DOES want us to go somewhere.
And to all of you thinking that “adel hernandez” is the gamechanger that is gonna turn everything around for hull, Have you even seen this lad play?? He’s F*n sh*te
Now..
Ben arfa, Do you remember when we got humped by sunderland? yeah we’ve been HUMPED by sunderland what, 3 times in a row now?
Remember when ben arfa, tried to do “Fancy skills” on the CENTRE CIRCLE?
Guess who nicked the ball from him? Jack colback
Who is in our squad now? JACK COLBACK.
Sure i adored ben arfa when he was at his best.
But can we really afford to waste PRECIOUS GAMES in order to test out formations/tactics that benefit ben arfa? NO.
Are hull city?
Yes. Because they’re.. sh*t
Gaston ramirez.. hmm where has he been sitting the past 2 seasons?
BENCH
BENCH BENCH BENCH BENCH BENCH ARFA
Where has adel hernandez been? Playing for PALERMO in a p*ss poor palermo side in the italian SECOND DIVISION
14 goals in 30 games, IN THE ITALIAN, i stress SECOND DIVISON, where have i heard 14 goals in the SECOND DIVISION from again?
Oh right.
AYOZE PEREZ.
AYOZE PEREZ IS BETTER THAN ADEL HERNANDEZ. Just putting it out there

Comment #119Ben arfa was one of the most giffed players NUFC has had in along time. In the 2012 season being played in a 4-3-3 formation he was lethal and most FB struggled to handle him giving us a top 5 finish. it wasnt untill Pardrew changed his formation in 2013 that we started to crumble as usal. Pardrew has no tecnical ability as a manger r any man mangement skills and im sure Benny will be back to his best with a few 90min under his belt
