The news is coming in that Ben Arfa may indeed be leaving Newcastle for a season long loan deal – and it’s to Hull City and Steve Bruce.
Ben Arfa – could be playing for Hull City next season
Sky Sports are reporting that Ben Arfa is in talks with Hull City right now, and the deal could well go through in the two hours still left in the transfer window.
There was news earlier today that Alan Pardew had made it clear to the French International that he would not be in the first team squad at Newcastle, even if he stayed on at the club, and that may have caused Ben Arfa to have a re-think about wanting to stay at Newcastle United.
We’re sure the loan deal – if it goes through – will give Hull City the option to buy Ben Arfa next summer – but come to think of it – that will no be necessary because he will be a free agent next summer. 🙁
We may still be seeing Ben Arfa in the Premier League next season – and maybe for longer than that – but not in a Newcastle shirt.
And since this is a loan deal we assume a clause in the contract will say he cannot play against Newcastle United – that’s good.
It’s a pity he didn’t move to the continent, but apparently he only wanted a move to a Premier League club.
Now he will be playing week in and week out at Hull City – and Steve Bruce must be rubbing his hands to get such a talented player at Hull City after Newcastle (Alan Pardew) made it clear they didn’t want the Frenchman.
It seems there has been a complete breakdown in communication between Ben Arfa and the Newcastle manager – and as far as we are concerned it’s a black mark against both men – and very unprofessional.
So will we see Ben Arfa running half the length of the field to score next season – in a Hull City shirt?
It’s a very smart move by Steve Bruce, but we may see some negative reaction to this news from Newcastle fans – who still wanted Ben Arfa to stay at the club.
What do you think?

Comment #81They really need to have something lined up, as Pardew said any out will be replaced.
Nastacic & Sinclair or Ayew maybe coming in but highly unlikely but not looking like a striker coming in…if they don’t replace it’s just been more lies!!!
Hopefully more come in for a new manager to work with once Ashley fires Pardew!!

Comment #89What can be done now the tickets have been sold for the season ahead.Just bend over and take it man.
We have always invited ridicule from the owners of our club as long as i can remember.
Our love and loyalty of our club is used against us by businessmen who are driven only by greed for money.
No football interest at all,sadly.

Comment #100AmericanMagpie, I was thinking the same thing. As much as I love my beloved toon I would love it if Arfa hit the ground running and started mashing up defences like we know he can. A hatrick against us and a running forearm smash to Pards face as he celebrates his 3rd would stick the icing on the cake as well eh hahahaaaa

you can`t give an opinion on players that have just come to England.
No one knows how it`ll og.
Cabella was exellent against City and he will be top notch i`d say.
De Jong isn`t match fit,if he can get to his Ajax standard he will be as good as Cabaye.
Aarons is a Lucky find for Pards and will be one of Our top performers tis season.
Janmaat is quality, scored one and could have scored in two games now.
Riviere-the jury is still out, looked good in pre season, needs a goal.
Colback looks very tidy

Comment #102Personally believe PArdew has always had it in for Ben Arfa, played Sammi and Fergy in front of him the year we finished 5th, also only got a run once Raylor got injured, it was by fluke that Ben Arfa ever had a small career at Newcastle, he is simply not the type of player wot Pardick can cope with.
Unsure about Cabella being his replacement going to have to toughen up quickly.
Benny did turn up last year horrendously out of shape and there is no excuse for that, disgraceful unprofessionalism and leaves Pardumb nowhere to go regards playing him. He clearly is an odd kid.
I still blame Pardew though for mis management of the situation, useless bellend

Comment #106Imagine buying nine players but not one of them is to solve the two most blatantly obvious weaknesses in our starting eleven, I.e. a striker and a CB. Surely, this just proves we sign players with profit making in mind and footballing considerations come a distant second.

Comment #107I feel a bit sick. It’s one step forward and 2 back. We should’ve kept Ben Arfa and Mbiwa and signed Grenier, Alderweireld and Benteke. We now need 4 centre backs, Grenier, Konoplyanka and Benteke. That’s 7 new players.

Too right. Gouffran is an excellent team player but I’m not excited to watch him play. The whole reason I support Newcastle is because I fell in love with our attacking play. It’s always been our strength and I’ve been longing for a return to it.
Ben Arfa and Robert are two of my all time favorite players. So exciting.

Comment #114Newcastle to Hull is about a two and a half hour drive so the leaked news that HBA is on his way there has been deliberately delayed until now. The club really have hit a new low.
Hatem might be tempted to say yes to Steve Bruce who at least can show ambition, let Hatem play football and demonstrate that Hull have signed other players to move the club forward. What has Pardew got to offer ? Answers on a blank sheet of paper please to no one in particular as no one can give a fek. Best news would be for HBA to say NO – that would be the beginning of the end for Pardew.

Comment #116Mick, Real Madrid turned down Falcao even though he wanted to go. Does that mean Falcao is any worse because he doesn’t play for Real or Barca? No. He is excellent.
Players lose possession all over the pitch. I saw it on Saturday with all of our players. Hatem is brave to take players on when other players can move the ball on like it is a hot potato. On top of that, I’ve seen more movement around him in an empty gym.
Under Kevin or Sir Bobby, he’d have been outstanding.

Comment #119Love Ben arfa but can honestly say it doesn’t bother me in the slightest …
He won’t be allowed to play against us with it being a loan and he weren’t going to play for us.. If a manager comes in who wants him I’m sure he can be recalled.. Pointless having a disruptive influence around kids etc.

Comment #120What was the point of doing half a job
Pardew is piss poor really needed a centre half for the last two years
We’ve also been crying out for a proven goal scorer since Remy left
Got to hope Cisse comes back with a bang or were in a proper dogfight
Can’t see Pardew getting out of the dugout all the goodwill will be gone again
