Bad news today that Jack Colback is inured, and will be unable to make his England debut at Wembley tomorrow in a friendly against Norway.
Jack Colback injured
This is what England manager Roy Hodgson has said today about the squad in his news conference:
“All but one of the squad are fit. Jack Colback is out of the game tomorrow,” “The starting line-up will be a young one. It will contain some interesting talents and has enormous potential.¨
“There will be no one making their debut from the start but there will be one or two players who won’t have had many starts.”
“I’ve been lucky that we’ve played in front of full houses and it will be a new experience tomorrow but, as Gary Neville has pointed out, there were times when he was playing where they got 25,000, so let’s keep things in perspective,”
“Obviously the crowd is a bit lower than normal but we expected that, the World Cup was disappointing and it’s a backlash from that.” “We want to make sure the crowd know we are giving everything we can to win the game tomorrow and on Monday against Switzerland.”
Roy made those comments about the crowd because it seems it will be a low turnout tomorrow at Wembley, as England fans are just a little fed up with the pathetic performance of the team in Brazil when we finished bottom of the group with just one point.
Once again England’s top players under-performed on the world stage.
Wonder if Jack will be fit for the game against Switzerland next Tuesday?

I’ve gone past praying and I’m trying to find something funny before I start crying.
I know JC saves but can he play in defence or upfront?
I’m going to see if one true Geordie has made any videos lately 🙁

Comment #322Yes always a good watch. I don’t think he realises most people think he’s a knob though, which is quite funny too ha

Comment #323He’s a canny enough lad, Belfast. Met him a good few times before he started doing the videos. He’ll rant and rave until he gets a few pints in and then he’s sweet.

Not football related, just a mad geezer who blends anything you want him to so he can advertise his product.
You can send this bloke suggestions of things to blend on Facebook if anybody has any suggestions for him.

Comment #326I’ve long felt that Pardew was a capable manager, gaining in valuable experience in a tough job while working at a club with an ownership that was asking an awful lot of him, but of course I don’t really know.
Even so, I tend to think that he has these next 4 games to get some results or he’s in trouble. I suspect Ashley thinks he’s given him a squad that should be comfortable top ten, and these are games we should be picking up points in.
I think we played alright in the first three games, patchy as you might expect with so many new faces. And like everyone else I think the club needed to offload one or two and bring in a quality striker and CB. But this is Newcastle under Ashley, and if Pardew can’t make it work on match day, I think fairly or unfairly, he’s likely to go.
Personally, I think the club has failed again in the transfer market, and if he gets the side playing well and in the top ten he’ll deserve far more credit than he’ll get.

Comment #327I’d vote for that True Geordie as our next manager just so I could see what happens when Ashley says no to him.
