The Football League loan window opens next week, and Newcastle will be hoping to set up loans for even more of their fringe players, after we saw Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa and ben Arfa leave the club on loan last Monday.
Jonas Gutierrez – could go out on loan
The most experienced player who is still not part of Alan Pardew’s first team squad is Argentine International Jonas Gutierrez, and he would be an excellent acquisition for a Championship club pushing for promotion this season.
Jonas also happens to be on big wages at Newcastle, which is even more reason Newcastle will want to get him out on loan and off the wage bill.
It’s nothing personal with Jonas, as it was with Ben Arfa and Alan Pardew has relegated him to the Reserve team squad because his contract contains a clause which says he must be given a new deal if he plays maybe six more games for the club – and Newcastle don’t want to do that for a 31 year-old.
Why Newcastle allowed that to be put in his contract is the first place is a good question.
Other players who Newcastle will be hoping to move out during the upcoming Football League window are Shane Ferguson, Sammy Ameobi and Haris Vuckic – who have not made it at Newcastle.
And then Newcastle will probably want to get loan spells for young players like Adam Campbell, who is currently on a short-term loan at Fleetwood Town.
Adam Armstrong is also a possible loan candidate – if Pardew thinks he will not be involved with the first team through the end of this year, and that’s also true for promising center-back Lubo Satka.
Remie Streete could also be loaned out, and we wonder what the status of Curtis Good is these days – he’s had a hip injury since making his International debut for Australia back on March 5th, and he could even do a job for Newcastle this season?
What do you think?

There are probably a few from Southampton that are either still there or have recently left that we could do with having in the back room or board!
Unfortunately instead we have an ex Saint who we could do without.

Comment #48Looking ahead to next Summer we will have an extra 6 players to accomadate assuming we want to keep them
Darlow Lascelles Alnwick Good Bigi Perez. who will not qualify as underage players.
That means we have to lose 6 players from the current squad just to make room for them. I am not expecting a lot of signings next year

not really sure how you can say moyes wasn’t backed at Manu. fellaini was the best part of 30M and Mata nearly 40M. That was just on 2 players alone!
I think it was more a case of their fans demanded attacking, passing football not the dour, sterile, defensive fare that Moyes provided.

Jonas will be gone. Colo will probably be gone. Maybe alnwick since darlow is coming in. Abied may be a gonner for bigi (becausr of what MAY have happened in toon) Sammy out for perez posibly. And i have heard talk that good wont make it. Thats the 6 places sorted. We will then have to sell to make room for more.

Comment #53RH seemed strange that Moyes bought Fellaini then never really trusted him to play. He must have known exactly what he could bring to the team. He also bought Mata then played him on the wing which was not his position.

Jonas, Colo, Vuckic, Ferg, Ober, Krul (already bought his replacement) and Tiote. I think we will see Santon shifted on next summer as well.
We will probably only keep one of Elliot and Alnwick as well.
Still plenty of dead wood and ageing/past it players to get shot of.

Comment #57Marccasus I said for weeks that MA was gambling on not buying a CH because he had a lot of young CHs waiting in the wings. I also said it was a huge gamble. Colo Willo and Taylor have 2 years left on their contracts. I think Colo and Willo will see theirs out Taylor is most likely to be sold
Good was the pick of the young CHs until injury. Not sure what his status is at the moment. Streete and Satka need a loan to see what they are really made of.

Comment #58Lilo I agree there is a lot of dead wood to shift Smeobi only has a year left on his contract. Don`t think Abeid and Vuckic will stay either. Raylor only has a year left as well. He was slow when fully fit so what he will be like after 2 serious injuries !!

There is question marks over Abied as i refered to before. Even if tiote goes, i think (if pardew hasnt been sacked) abied is done here. I am keeping my fingers crossed that krul stays, and eithet alnwick or elliot go. (I know its delusional)

Comment #62Supporting this team under Jabba should come with a health warning. When we loaned MYM out without a replacement and failed to sign a goalscorer i felt nothing,it was strange, then i realized,my football soul has been destroyed.Nothing surprises me anymore,if someone was to tell me that we have sold the entire 1st team and replaced them with people who look like famous footballers i would probably say”Yeah,he does that”.I used to be able to watch any footy but now if we lose i don’t want to see another game of footy for at least 72hrs,i used to be able to watch MOTD if we lost before he was here,i’d turn it over when it showed our game but i’d still watch it.If we draw, depends who it’s against,a point away to a decent team, sweet, almost the same as a win,a point at home to palace and your lucky if i’m feeling ok in time for Monday night football. His whole time here can be explained with 1 song.Crank it up

Comment #67Rotonda – one per window wasn’t it? They needed to do what they’ve done now. He’d build from the back. Everton under him where a tight unit and their attacking play combining down the left was some if the most lethal I’ve seen. I think he’d make the most of what we have and take us into Europe. Was on a tight budget for everton. His personality is dull but I think he’d take us as far as we can go under ashley.

Comment #68Ben Arfa will forever be a enigma.
On his day he was a joy to watch. But when not, he was utterly useless. I used to remember him just lumbering around the pitch and opponent used to attack his flanks as the weak link.
Lots of goals were conceded when he was in the side from his flank. His magic is only produced 1 in 10 games. Not enough.
Aarons is already proving his mettle. Not all is doom and gloom.

You ask if the blog’s dead. No, but as usual there are quite a few on here who are from the neck up.
They are like the guy watching his favourite programme on the box when there’s a power cut, so he kicks the sh@t out of the television in his rage.
In this scenario Pardew, or whoever replaces him, is the tv and until action is taken to sort out the power cut you’re all wasting your energy kicking the sh@t out of the manager.
In fact Ashley is only too happy to see Pardew getting it in the neck rather than himself, when it could start to affect his blo@dy SD brand.
Wise up guys and aim at the right target. I’m quite well aware that AP is a softer target to hit, but so long as Ashley runs our club the bad times will continue.

Comment #74Ibzatoon, it kind of started the season we finished 5th, he started to become more defensive with ryan taylor and they just didnt link as well as him and enrique plus his speed fitness started to go a bit, he became a bit more composed though and had a very good first half of the season scoring a great goal against wolves a great assist against spurs and a few motm performancs, but then the next half of the season he staretd not attacking enough but it seemed like he was ordered to do that, he still had a decent season but the decline started, then the next season he looked shot, like he couldnt even do the work anymore not just he was ordered to be defensive, his confidence completely went and he was still played week in week out and he just didnt look able for it, if pardew dropped him it would have been much better for him and used him more sparringly , its been handled terribly and it just shows you why footballers shoudlnt be loyal to anyone but themselves

imo lescalles should have been a starter this seaosn nvm next lol but he will improve more at forest than he would here !
pards needs to stop being so stubborn and realise our team is not good enough to be solid at the back and turn it into an attacking team ffs >.<

there are two issues with that analogy mate, firstly getting shot of Ashley means there’s has to be someone with a spare £300 million knocking about in order to buy him out, it’s one thing to get him to sell it’s another thing finding someone to buy him out.
The second point is that fans are targeting Pardew for two reason’s, one being a better manager would get better results and performances out of this squad, the second is that targeting Pardew is the most likely chance we have of seeing any change at the club.
But that always leave the million dollar question?
Who would Ashley appoint in the place of Pardew

Depends on what the targets are for this season?
If simply existing in this league is the target then we would see another out of work chancer like Pardew coming in. but if the targets are top eight then it stands to reason we would see an upgrade in the managers seat.
Personally I think if he does go Ashley would go for Glenn Hoddle

It’s quite scary really, we couldn’t give these players away. Suppose you might add Williamson to that list as well.
Come Xmas time you could throw in Rivière once he loses interest, really can’t understand as yet why we shelled out 6 million on him. Early days of course, maybe Alan Pardew wanted someone similar in class to Ameobi 😉
