Midfielder Still Very Happy At Newcastle

Three of Moussa Sissoko’s French International colleagues Yohan Cabaye, Loic Remy and Mathieu Debuchy have left Newcastle this summer, and with Moussa stating he would like to play Champions League, it was feared Moussa may also want to leave Newcastle.

But Moussa has told the press that he is happy at Newcastle:

“I would like to play in the Champions League, but I feel very happy at Newcastle.”  “There was nothing concrete offered to me this summer.”

Moussa has been an automatic first choice of  manager Alan Pardew at Newcastle since he joined us from  Toulouse in January of last year, and he has so far played 60 times for Newcastle with 6 goals,

Since joining Newcastle, Moussa has also been included regularly in the full French squad under manager Didier Deschamps, and he now has 21 caps with one goal for France, and he had a good World Cup in Brazil.

It’s interesting to know hat would have happened if a top club had come in for him in the summer – certainly Yohan Cabaye and Mathieu Debuchy wanted to immediately leave Newcastle for PSG and Arsenal respectively.

Wonder if that would have happened with Moussa?

Yes. What might happen if Liverpool and ManU started sniffing around Southampton players for example. Let’s see……mmmmmmm. It’s not even worth considering. They would and they should, in this one life, in such a relatively short career. And clubs like Newcastle, who don’t even show the same level of ambition as Southampton and certainly the by now quite significantly senior clubs, ethically at any rate, should not stand in their way, if a fair price has been offered.

Sissoko played great for France last week playing on the right wing putting the fear into the left back….

Pardew gets slated by a lot of people myself included but Sissoko is not a central midfielder !!! He only looks good on the wing because he has time on the ball and does not have the brain or touch to play in the middle !!!
