It’s great to see Ryan Taylor back in full training with Newcastle United, and he has announced he’s back on his Twitter account.
Ryan Taylor – in training early last year
Before he picked up his second ACL injury 🙁
Ryan is probably the unluckiest player in football, after being out over two years after suffering an ACL (Anterior Cruciate Ligament) injury when playing in the Europa League against Greek side Atromitos in August two years ago at St. James’ Park.
And then during his rehabilitation a year last April, he picked up another ACL injury – you talk about being unlucky.
In the summer of last year he was treated by Dr. Steadman at the Steadman Clinic in Vail, Colorado – so he got the very treatment you can get for that sort of serious knee injury.
Ryan Taylor has shown tremendous courage and fortitude in his comeback – and it’s great he’s now back in full training.
We look forward to Ryan coming back into the first team, and when that happens the 30 year-old Liverpudlian will get a standing ovation from the Newcastle fans – and he will deserve every last bit of it.
Ryan has played 91 times for Newcastle with 10 goals since joining us from Wigan in January of 2010.
Best of luck Ryan.
And we should also see Papiss Cisse back soon as well, after recovering from his broken knee-cap.
We would just love to see Papiss back to the form he showed when he first played for Newcastle starting in February of 2012, when he scored 13 goals in his first 14 appearances for the side.
If he shows that form again this season for Newcastle, we (he) should have no problem scoring goals.
Papiss has played 88 games for Newcastle with 30 goals, since signing for us from SC Freiburg in January of 2012 for around £9M.
