When I saw them last year I thought they where passing it round and playing decent. But didn’t watch them enough to really comment.
I don’t think either of them would come to be Ashley’s patsy!
Has the bookies ever been near getting our next manager under Ashley right?
Pardew and JFK came from nowhere!
Hopefully Pardew will be back there soon.

I personally didnt rate palace last year tbh. And his stoke side were horrible. Add to the fact he is also a whinger with a thicker excuse book than Pardew (yes i stick by that) then i would give up following nufc all together if Pulis came in.

Mike Ashley’s ownership has been one disappointment after another so I’ll keep dreaming of De Boer as manager for now 😉

Comment #46Don’t care who he appoints.
It won’t be any worse than the current rubbish that we’re seeing.
Pulis, Moyes, Catchy, ketsbia.
Honestly do not care.
Bring it on.

You can’t lose 4-0 as Newcastle manager.

Comment #48pulis couldn’t play his football with us unless he fancies willo as a striker. Personally I’d rather neither, but think Pulis is the better of the two. If I had a choice it would be DeBoer but we are talking ideal world type stuff. Someone said hoddle which is believable. Think he’d actually do alright to be honest, the football would improve.

No way they would give him permission to talk to a club a few weeks into the job

Comment #56If he appoints Pulis, it could be Allardyce all over again though. Moyes has a bit more to him. I know Everton fans grew tired of him and he had a rep towards the end for direct punts to Fellaini, but he did a lot of good work before they had a classic target man type. He’d achieve the fat wads objective until he can put this sorry era to an end and by any measure he’s still lightyears ahead of Pardew don’t care what anyone says, Pardew needs to be exiled to managerial wasteland.

Comment #57AP interview on BBC:
“The best team won, they were stronger, faster and a bit more inventive than us.”
“Our fans were on us from the start or on me in particular & I don’t think that helped the situation & the game sort of got away from us.”
“If we had won today you would argue it was a good start but it’s a difficult start now.”

I said that earlier. He’d do a good job, is a winner but has teams that play less than exciting football but even that has to be better than this. At least he’d instill a winning mentality and nobody would mess with the big bald lunatic

Can you read? I accepted “thick” was the wrong word. I stopped going to games after 50 years because I got fed up with the owner taking the piss. My point is that supporters who still go to games are living with the fact that the owner is taking the piss out of them. How would you describe those supporters? And I am not Scottish!!!! I am a Geordie born on the banks of the Tyne next to the Rank flour mill which is now some flash block of flats.. How long have you been going to games?

Comment #72I’d take Moyes and I think we’ll end up with him. Yes, better choices in many ways but if you put yourself in Ashley’s shoes…..Moyes knows the premiership, won’t get us relegated and has it all to prove again
