Southampton 4 Newcastle 0 – Goals Video

pelle saints

Italian striker Graziano Pelle scored two goals for the Saints

Here is a video of the game today and each of Southampton’s four goals – in what was a terrible performance from Newcastle.

And the Newcastle defense – especially our central defense, will have to improve big time very soon if we are to start picking up some points – and we’ve already conceded 10 goals in our four league games and have a goal difference already of -6. 🙁

I’d be willing to risk placing a fresh baked quiche on Pards’ seat in the dugout in the pursuit of some good footy and results.

All the “risking who we get as next manager” is rollocks…

Was at the game today so I’ll give my two cents.

Once that first Southampton goal went in in the fifth minute, every Newcastle fan in the world knew we were out of it. This is what we’ve been reduced to under Pardew.

Today was one of the most gutless displays I’ve ever seen from any team. The players looked like they had absolutely no desire to win, bar one or two individuals. The players, quite frankly, look completely fed up with the system and the team they’re playing in. And who can blame them?
We don’t play as a team at all, that is the first striking difference between us and Southampton today. Southampton were a drilled, disciplined team, with every player aware of their teammates movements. We played like a group of individuals who’ve just met each other for the first time today. There’s no communication and no obvious gameplan. That is the first critical weakness.

Do you know why there is no gameplan. Becasue Pardew sits in the dugout for the entire game and not a single member of the Newcastle coaching staff started to come out to the touch line and talk to the players until we were three goals down. Contrast this with Koeman and his coaching staff, who were up out of their seats, communicating and relaying orders to the players on the pitch every five minutes.

We were pathetic today and the majority of the blame lies with Alan Pardew and his band of merry tw@ts. We have a group of players, many of whom are regular internationals for their respective country yet Pardew makes them look like some random blokes he saw in the park.

    Finishing note, the players weren’t brilliant today and of course they do have to take some of the blame;
    – Sissoko: The lad looks like he doesn’t want to be here. He tries but he looked so dejected every time our attack fell apart.
    – Williamson: I’ve never rated the guy. He is a sorry excuse for a Premier League footballer. How he was voted fans player of the year last season I’ll never know. He has no positional sense whatsoever, he can’t win an offensive header to save his life, and he’s not that great of a tackler. He only looks good because occasionally he pulls off those last ditch challenges a la David Luiz, and we all know what a “great” centre back he is.
    – Rivierre: I think he needs a partner up top because this system with him as a lone striker does not work. He isn’t strong enough and he’s not that tall so Pardew’s “direct” style, if you wish to call it that, does not match his attributes at all.
    – Colback: Can’t be said that the lad doesn’t give his all for us. Ran up and down the pitch today, putting in challenges when needed. Fair play to him.
    – Janmaat: He is pretty much a like for like replacement of Debuchy. Good going forward but very, very dodgy defensively.

Highlight of the game: Pardew’s refusal to come out of his dugout. The man is a coward. Any real professional would get on with the job and try to prove their critics wrong. He just sits there and sulks like everyone else is to blame but him.

I think we could place an A4 piece of paper with manager written on it in crayon and the players would respect it more.

Pards needs to take his swollen lips away from our club

the only good goal was the last one…the rest were down to our own ineptitude and our esteemed leaders marvellous coaching abilities that make us an impregnable defensive unit!

The goals were a horror show
The first one Pelle breezed past Haidara
Willo for the second and third was awful, and Colo’s positioning was awful
The fourth was decent but once again the lad was given the freedom of our box

That performance was the coffin lid put into place.
Next will be Benny on Monday night v West Ham having a good game and scoring.
Hulls visit at the weekend, will see us being walloped and the fans turning -and getting the nails hammered into the coffin lid.
Just for any dopes who do not know the rules (there are still one or two) Benny cannot play against us.

To be fair, it’s not exactly a nice environment for them to honour the two lads at our place at the moment which makes it even worse. A nice touch of class from the mackems.

Strange how Mash is becoming a little more accessible and less evasive these days. Think he needs to get another stooge to oversee his covert movements. Pardew could even do it, his only skills are in slinking out of corners and dodging uncomfortable encounters.

I suppose you are right. Living in Essex away from Gateshead makes me a right tosser. A stupid tosser in fact as I spent tens of thousands of pounds watching the Toon. You should have a word with Alex Salmond who also despises Scots who do not live in Scotland.

If his position isn’t untenable now, it will be after the Hull game as he’s going to experience abuse like never before – and you gotta say he deserves every single bit of after again having a go at fans that have made a 700 mile round trip to watch a shower of shyte and hear pathetic excuses from the man responsible

You are deflecting from the point. You insulted Geordies. For no reason. We (Geordies) do not deserve that. You are a tosser. Whatever circumstances have led to it. You had no right to say what you said, and the fact you are defending your position makes it worse. A simple ‘sorry’ would have done. Not “ok, not thick. Stupid” Well thats just lovely. Makes it all ok.

    Toonarmy,
I am totally loyal to the club and have accepted that I used the wrong word. But the owner is taking the piss out of fans. What I cannot abide is the Scottish nationalist attitude that you are somehow less credible if you do not live in the area. Some person used the expression detrimental to my life to be living somewhere other than Newcastle. How sad is that?
