Newcastle Unveil Very Strange Looking Third Strip

Newcastle have unveiled their third kit,and it’s a (very) strange combination of navy blue and light green colors –  chosen by fans.

Janmaat, Colo and Willo wearing new strip

The news is that Newcastle fans can purchase the kit from 9:00 am this Saturday at www.nufcdirect.com and also official club stores before the kit is worn by the first team in their game at Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium on Monday, 29th September.

It will be interesting to see if the strip succeeds in upsetting the Stoke players – it looks so strange. 😀

Apparently the PUMA third kit was chosen by members of the Club’s official Fans Forum.

Lee Charnley, Managing Director at Newcastle United, said this:

“We wanted to involve our supporters in the design and approval process for this kit and as such we presented a number of options to Fans Forum members.”

“We are delighted to unveil this kit, chosen by those members, which I am sure our players and fans will wear with pride.”

Ruth How, PUMA UKIB head of marketing, said:

“We strive to create designs that inspire both players and fans to feel proud of their team.” “Both are equally important but this season we wanted to give the Club’s loyal fans the chance to vote for their favourite third kit design.”

“We think they’ve chosen a fantastic design and look forward to seeing the Magpies pick up three points when they wear it for the first time against Stoke on 29th September.”

What were the Fans Forum people thinking?

Anyway, on the positive side there’s always hope the strip will so shock the Stoke City players, that it will put them completely off their game, and we may even take something out of that game at the Britannia Stadium.

There again, some fans may event like the new strip.

What do you think?

Looks awful in truth, but maybe i could live with it if we had some footballers to fill it.

How the hell can the fans wear that monstrosity with pride, their having a laugh.

I would never ever wear that shirt, and as for the pride, well they ripped that out of the club years ago, along with hope, respect, ambition etc etc.

The green is to represent the slimy colour of our manager whilst the deep blue represents the darker waters were he is out of his depth.

    Pardew out.

No offence but are you a little ”on the spectrum” ?

You don’t think pardew lies, deary me, from the man who brought us ” we always play on the front foot”

Do you not think some of our alleged targets wanted to play for better managers where in some cases we’ve even offered more money for.
Big players follow big managers, not the gimp we’ve got.

    Jimmy.

I disagree completely with your appraisal mate.

He’s said them. Whether or not he’s been shafted is up for debate but I personally think he’s fully complicit in everything, there’s no way he can’t be because any person with a modicum of self respect would of walked by now.

Yes I understand that sometimes managers have to deflect criticism from players and themselves, now and again. He does it on a,weekly basis though. Never your fault is it alan?

Like several posters on this site, I can’t see the point of those who go on about Pardew being a liar.
Whenever he has stated something which he hoped would happen, such as that the club would hold on to Andy Carroll, and he has clearly been ignored by Ashley who saw a big profit looming, this is not Pardew lying. This is simply the fact that MA will always have the last word, and that he has no qualms whatsoever about hanging out his manager to dry.
There are surely enough sticks with which to beat the manager in reference to recent results, formations etc. without resorting to calling the man a liar. It demeans your argument.

Mag52, if you don’t think he’s an out and out liar by now, I don’t think you’ll ever realise.

It’s plain for all to see. Deception, lies and propaganda.

This alone highlights his lying and delusional ability.

I’m not sure Pardew is a liar – whatever he states is what he believes, Sadly sometimes he’s naive in the extreme. He’s doing the job to the best of his ability, unfortunately his ability is lacking, however he’s not helped by Ashley.

If you spend 6 million on two strikers and expect one of them to be Diego Costa, Lukaku etc you’re smoking crack – you get what you pay for
    and we’ve frankly got average

“I have never, ever isolated anyone at this football club, and I never will, so everyone has a chance.”
    Source: Northern Echo

Maybe this is not a lie, maybe that fans are suffering a mass hallucination to go with their mass hysteria. In truth his lies are well published and cannot be denied. It’s what the whole club do all lie’s and deceit mate.

Newest lie: Read the post just up by ash 1001, and then read the clubs comments above. Says it all really.

I think when it comes to players coming in or going out it’s pretty much above Pardew’s head and anything he says in that case is wishful thinking.

    BUT!!!

    – Always has teams playing on the front foot. LIE! Unless he was referring to the opposition

    – Never frozen a player out. LIE! Ben Arfa, Routledge, M’Biwa, probably a lot more at different clubs.

    – I am not offering any excuses. LIE! He spouts excuses at every opportunity.

To say he simply sees things differently is complete crap. He is fully aware of the situation, and like AC said if he wasn’t he would have walked. And, most likely sued the arse off the club like KK did.

    How about this one, Mag52…

“I have never, ever isolated anyone at this football club, and I never will, so everyone has a chance.”

But he’s not a flat out liar? No, he is a conman. Conmen con people into thinking they’re something other than they actual are. In other words, deceiving people to alter their opinion of him. Have you been conned by him? That is for you to work out by yourself.

Pardew is an ultra slime-ball, serial liar and excuse maker to cover his inept blagging style of management to fuel is ego and bank balance.

He took Charlton on a run of 8 losses in a row. He took us to 6 and the run was only broken due to defeating a relegated side. Anyone else and we’d have lost. We haven’t won since.

I suggest you do your research mate, AP has had these issues everywhere he’s managed. Every club he’s managed at the people that know him have said he’s a arrogant twat. Plenty of direct quotes from former captains like Reo Coker who says that the season Tevez and Mascherano were bought AP had changed as WH reached the FA Cup final the previous season. He started to believe his own hype….that very season he got onto a touchline bust up with Wenger, played Tevez LW and preferred Hayden Mullins to Mascherano. WH in Europe but battling relegation by Christmas….backed to the hilt in the transfer market but misused/underused class players.

Plenty of former players and coaches who actually know him have said just how arrogant the man is and plenty of people that know him who will tell you he’s a liar.

Early to bed tonight lads. You all have a big game to play tomorrow ….. probably the biggest game of your life actually.
There are two main adversaries who are banking on our protests being somewhat of a damp squid…. and of course the national sporting press will be waiting to jump on the bandwagon slagging us off as a parochial bunch with delusions of grandeur and expectations way beyond reality.
We have a lot to prove tomorrow ….. and I am determinedly confident …. boy am I !!!! Up them all.

I like it. It’s a break from the common, generic type kits found almost everywhere. Besides, it helps the players blend in with the pitch making them harder to track by the opposition. Now to crush Hull City! HWTL
