What’s Newcastle’s Best Team Against Hull City?

The team Alan Pardew played against Southampton last Saturday was probably the best team he could have played from the available players in the squad.

steven taylor thumbs up

Steven Taylor – could get a start tomorrow

And that performance was simply a disgrace, and in particular the defense was very unsteady – especially the two central defenders – and our best player on the day was 21 year-old French U21 left back Massadio Haidara.

So it’s going to be interesting what team Pardew will start tomorrow – but he will need to make some changes – and we hope to see some evidence tomorrow afternoon that they have put in a good week’s training this week.

That was not the case at Southampton.

Up front we again looked toothless, so perhaps he will give Geordie Sammy Ameobi a start – because Sammy cannot do any worse than the others who have been starting, in the last couple of games.

It will be either Sammy or Ayoze Perez who will likely get the start for Yoan Gouffran on the left wing.

As a reminder – here is the starting line-up at St. Mary’s:

Krul
Janmaat Williamson Coloccini (c) Haidara
Colback Anita
Cabella Sissoko Gouffran
Riviere
Subs: Elliot, Taylor (S) , Tiote, Ameobi, Obertan, Armstrong, Perez

If Steven Taylor cannot get a start – so he’s given a chance to show what he can do tomorrow after Williamson’s howler last week — he far better pack up and plan to leave the Magpies in January.

That means we expect Steven to be given a start tomorrow. 😀

And Cheick Tiote is back and will start alongside Jack Colback in central midfield.

Here’s a possible starting eleven tomorrow against Hull City:

Krul
Janmaat Taylor (S) Coloccini (c) Haidara
Colback Tiote
Cabella Sissoko Perez
Riviere
Subs: Elliot, Williamson, Anita, Ameobi, Obertan, Armstrong, Gouffran

That’s only three changes from the side that were hammered 4-0 by Southampton – but as we said – it’s not like we have a strong bench these days.

What would you team be for tomorrow?

And we cannot see the lads taking much out of this game, mainly because of the demonstrations planned for tomorrow – and the very best thing that can happen is if we get the first goal – an early goal would be great.

If that happens we may be able to get something out of this game – but we are not holding our breath.

    Krul
    Janmaat – Williamson – Coloccini – Haidara
    Tiote – Colback
    Sissoko – Cabella – Gouffran
    Cisse

Riviere needs dropped…. Cisse needs games and is better half fit than a fully fit donkey!
Sissoko needs dropped but for who? Ben Arfa, Aarons… Oh wait gone and injured….
Coloccini needs dropped but for who? Mbiwa oh wait he’s gone….

    Unbelievable. Pardew out!

    I care, I want a win!

    I want Pardew out.

In what planet does a protest matter more than the team you love…. Why are you protesting?

    Idiot.

The protest is needed to make us move on from mediocrity but you will never see me want the team to lose ever. Or not care about a game Nufc are involved in.

The game and 3 points is priority. Anyone thinking otherwise is not a supporter of Nufc…

Protest is 2nd and totally needed for Pardew to move on.

It’s not about dropping Riviere it’s about the manager finding a way to offer the striker the support he needs as he’s isolated and lost, the same would happen if Cisse was playing

Talk sport absolutely ripping Pardew to shreds!

The lad from sack Pardew was brilliant and the last caller got it spot on about collymore and other journos being absolutely clueless if they think the fans are kicking up based solely on 4 games

However, one caller, Graeme, given your heed a f^*king shake man, the majority if fans still back the regime? F**k off they do!

    it’s not about 3 points

tomorrow is all about one thing, getting pardew out , and the best way is for us to lose the game

anyway the players will not turn up, probably over hyped for the game

    Mag52,

If he was so concerned about a Cb and Cf he wouldn’t have been harping on about how good our transfer business was. He’s stated on more than one occasion how happy he was with the business despite the rest of the world knowing the clear problems in our squad.

He has more than once mentioned finances of our club, using them even as an excuse to dampen expectations for our transfer business.

I believe he is more concerned about doing as he’s told more so than doing what is best in the role he has luckily had for the past 4 years.

His boss is more concerned about the profitability of the club therefore so is he.

    So in summary yes.

Anyone who still thinks he wants what is best for our club needs to ask themselves why he is still here. A man of principle with genuine love for the club would have walked. Our manager is not and does not.

I would rathervwe played this team just because all the players that played last weekend should be dropped: 4-3-1-2.

    Elliot
    Janmaat-Satka-taylor(s)-haidara
    Abied-tiote-colback
    Cabella
    Gouffran-perez

    Subs:
    Riviere
    Sissoko
    Ferreyra
    Dummet
    Krul
    Colo
    anita

I know this team is terrible, but were gonna lose the game anyway. As others have suggested… This game is all about the protest. The only reason i have put abeid, satka and perez in the line up is because they will want to prove themselves.

People going to the match are going to to give Pardew hell. I hope supporters don’t forget to have a go at the fat controller also because he is the real problem at Newcastle.

I’m prepared to lose this game and lose big. Hull has many good attacking players now and with our defense being so awesome we are bound to concede some goals. My prediction will be a 3-0 win to hull. Cannot see us scoring. We are doomed this season!

    1) we get rid of Mapou (who is good enough to play champion league with Roma) and keep the league 2 level of Williamson, Saylor and Collocini?

    2) THe formation 4-2-3-1 is not working. Try 4-4-2 with Riviera and Perez up front. And NOOOOO Long ball
