Papiss Cisse after scoring today
Here is Papiss Cisse’s interview with Sky Sports after the game today, in which Papiss Cisse looked an inspired man after he came on as a sub after 69 minutes and scored two great goals – and he wore a tee shirt underneath his Newcastle shirt which said ¨Always Looking Forward Jonas¨ as a tribute to Jonas Gutierrez, who we found out last week is fighting cancer.
Papiss saved Newcastle’s blushes today and kept Alan Pardew is his job at least for another week – Cisse looked terrific!

Comment #2It’s funny how in the club statement about Ashley selling, it said he wouldn’t for at least this and next season. In line with Rangers champions league return? You have to wonder.

Just seen this now after you posted it earlier. It is a strange response, almost as though he knew something and didn’t want to say. He skated round that question with skill

Comment #8Funny how the guy Pardew mugged off on multiple occasions playing him on the wing drags him out the sh*t .
Feed Cisse and he will score, which means we need someone who can deliver a ball like Aarons in the team :

——–Aarons———Cisse——–Cabella——–

Comment #11Pardew is deluded. How on earth he thought the players were magnificent today is beyond me. We should not be grateful for struggling to draw at home to Hull. A stream of expletives flowed from my mouth when I saw that smarmy git smirk during his post match interview.

Comment #13@manxpie: The point isn’t getting in a ‘better manager’, the point is that you could probably go into any bar in Newcastle and pick one of the least drunk people and they’d probably be on par with Pardew.
Make no mistake, Cisse saved Pardew’s job today. Before he came on we had nothing going for us, and if he doesn’t score, it’s unlikely anybody else will… unless Willo remembers that he was Eusebio in a former life.

When everyone is fit that’s the team I’d go too.
With rivière, goufran, Perez and Anita on the bench. It’s a decent match day squad. Obviously I’m leaving out siem as he’s long term.

Rodgers sets his teams up to press and play great attacking football. He almost won the league with an unfancied side, and probably would have if Gerrard never fell over.
Liverpool form compared to ours – no contest.
Liverpool away, playing a high pressing game means they are always gonna be susceptible to Allardyce type football. But they go anywhere and have a go. We go anywhere and hope to not concede.
They weren’t even at home.
I don’t see your argument

Comment #22thump so the players that had powder puff shots are the managers fault then?
or was it his fault that colback thought he’d stroll along in his own box?
or is it his fault we didn’t buy a striker to replace our top scorer last season
or is it his fault that he didn’t get players for a calender year
is it his fault that he gets his best players sold at watever time regardless of position in the league or building of the team
and you all say he is a yes man so wat is gonna change with a change of manager ffs
wake up put the same effort into getting rid of the owner
have a look at wat was supposedly a massive storm towards a person who has tried his best under the circumstances!!!!!!
but your letting the whole crux of the situation go free!!!

Yeah, he has no control whatsoever I in training when it comes to set pieces either .
Didn’t you know Ashley forbids Pardew from training any other routine than “hit it long to “Willo” and from playing anything other than 4-2-3-1 . Gimme a break .
Next you’ll be telling me all those disgraceful records he has broken (no other NUFC manager has funnily enough) isn’t his fault either .
Some fans are completely deluded, and while Ashley is a huge problem at the club anyone who defends Pardew because of Ashley needs to wake up and smell the coffee before he takes us down to the Championship .

He just sold suarez didn’t he? So I would say yes he does sell his best players to be fair.
I don’t think they spent all of the suarez money either although I could be wrong on that one
Jeff,
2nd is still better than the 5th pardew got us once, it doesn’t stop you defending him at any given opportunity.
Rodgers is infinitely better than Pardew

tell me 1 other player that is big enough in this squad that can actually win a header and also tell me another team that scores a good % of goals from set pieces? (without a tall defender!!)
because obviously its only pards that has this problem!
tell me another team let alone a team that brings in 50,000 in the prem that didn’t buy a player for a year!!

Other managers realise when something doesn’t work and changes it and tries something else.
Pardew hasn’t done that with formations, tactics, set pieces or anything really to be honest.

You’re entitled to my opinion and I’m entitled to mine. Do I think that modern footballs attempt to draw wealthier fans has lead to the decline of the football community, yes. Look at the last 3 world cups and how awful the fans were. The lower classes are being priced out of tickets and the atmospheres in most of the Premier League stadiums are awful.

I just said Ashley was largely at fault for a lot of things wrong with NUFC. However Pardew is second on that list .
And while height helps, successful set pieces are created on the training ground through hours of practice so I don’t buy that argument for a second .
At the end of the day Pardew should have done a lot better than he has in 2014 with the talent at his disposal simple as that . We had half the French national side at one point and others like Krul & Tiote.
If you can’t see that I feel sorry for you .

Comment #39If sdj was fit and aarons we’d have good options but that’s the point. Ashley never allows enough quality in depth. He is the problem not pardew. Any manager with our striking options and cb’s would struggle. We need a striker and cb plus a backup playmaker in january but it won’t happen. Ashley will gamble on staying up with what we have.
On another note, get well soon jonas.

anyways unless my comment bypassed your understanding it was just showing up the stupidity of people saying its only hull we should win!
