The Players Need Your Backing – Please Support The Team

Newcastle United captain Fabricio Coloccini has come out in the program notes for tomorrow’s game,  and has asked the Newcastle fans to support the team against Hull City.

Fabricio Coloccini – asks for support from fans

It’s interesting that Alan Pardew has not come out and asked for the support of the fans, and we think it’s no coincidence that it’s Colo asking for the support tomorrow.

With the demonstrations against Pardew planned for tomorrow, it could have had little impact if it was the manager himself who asked for the fans’ support.

This is what Colo has said in his program notes directly to the fans:

“It will not be an easy game because Hull are a good team. It is very important that you are right behind us and support the team and the players who are on the pitch.¨

¨We need your support. We have a lot of new players and a young squad.¨ “They need your backing, a push from you and a positive atmosphere to get the best out of them.¨ “Hopefully, you can cheer us on to three points and that will give our season a real boost.”

“You want to win every game, just like us, and we all want the best for this football club.¨ “We are football fans too, so we understand that things can get frustrating.”

“But please, support the team for 90 minutes inside the stadium. We need your support.”

It will be interesting to see whether  fans at the game give the players their support – but we’re sure they will be there supporting the players,  as always, and it’s the manager and even the owner, who the fans want out of the club.

But the environment that will be created by the protesting fans will be a negative one for the players – there’s little doubt about that.

It would be against the odds if Newcastle can win this game tomorrow.

How about you support the club first and foremost instead of trying to engineer a way out at every opportunity and fcuking off back to Argentina for monthly sabbaticals.

This coming from a man that walked away from the club and tried to do everything to get a move.

With his performances its a disgrace that he’s even in the side let alone wearing the captains armband, but he is just as poisonous as Pardew and the rest

Nice manufactured statement specifically brought out to try and distract the attention which the protest will bring.

We REALLY want us to win too, which is why Alan Pardew needs eradicating from the dismal equation immediately to help increase that likelihood.

    That continues again tomorrow.

    Pardew out.

As far as I’m concerned when Pardew goes he’s more than welcome to take Colo, Carver and a few others with him

do you guys ever wonder why Mbiwa left to go on loan?

I think maybe deep down he knew something was going to happen with our performance and he didn’t want to be involved.

I also feel sorry for our new players that have came in because tomorrow will be an eye opener for them and probably be wondering if Newcastle was the right choice after all

Wow, with a statement like that Colo is a definite shoe-in to be Pardew’s next replacement.

Crisply toes the club’s line, uses excuses for poor performances and is, by implication, saying that protests against Pardew/the club are inherently negative and that we have not been backing the team – despite 18 months of utter dross for the most part.

You’re a club stooge now Colo and it saddens me to see this.

Also strange that when Hughton got the boot it was rumoured it happened because senior players had to much influence in the dressing room.

Coloccini is running the show according to some reports.

Signing players on his recommendations, wanting certain players removed from the dressing room.

    Very strange.

if Pardew doesn’t get the sack by the end off next week regardless of the result tomorrow I believe Krull, Sissoko, Tioite, Santon, Anita, Haidara, Gouffran, Cisse will want to move on whilst the new lads would want to go at the end of the season.

but I think Colback would stay since he’s an local lad and his heart is in Newcastle

B&W, there will be a lot of pro team and player song happening though, as well as the anti Pinocchio stuff.

Can’t see him standing in the dugout for 10 mins thinking that’ll be the end of it.

He’ll be absolutely verbally battered and it will get worse the longer he stays there. If we go behind, it will simply become unbearable to the point of dangerous and unsafe.

The media will lap this up as a spectacle tomorrow.

Very well done to the sackpardew lads. In only two short weeks they’ve developed awareness AND involvement in what they’re trying to do. Professionally well researched, planned, prepared and executed.

Coverage in most of the papers and on radio stations now too.

I’ve said it all along, strength in numbers. Everyone with a similar stance needs to be active in some way.

aye mate good point, but I honestly think Pardew won’t sit in the dugout he will be standing at the edge of his box screaming instructions to the players and he probably think us fans will respect him for trying.

but it won’t work simply because we are geordies and he’s an cockney.

I hate to say it but i can’t wait until if and when we get a new manager, he will fail miserably cus you lot on here are so silly to realise our problems are much deeper than Alan Pardew being in charge. We’re only in the premiership 4 years after being relegated and everybody thinks we should suddenly have the right to win every football match we play. This is the most depressing football blog i’ve ever been a part of.

Yes we’ve had a bad start to the season, well all FOUR games we’ve played. Disaster. toon fans most deluded in the world

@Dulcinera that attitude is akin to Pardew’s, what about last seasons dire form? We’re not upset about JUST the first four games, we’re furious with the way Pardew has conducted himself both in the team’s performance and in his behaviour, he should have been sacked after the headbutting.

hahahahaha the most pathetic post Iv’e ever read, first of all it ain’t 4 games into the season that concerns us it’s the fact that our performance has been poor for many years under Pardew.

ask yourself this how amny games have Newcastle won in 2014?

then ask yourself why your amongst the sad tw@ts that believe in Pardew and stick by him no matter what.

While I agree that our problems run much deeper than Alan Pardew, I would also care to point out that we have only picked up 18 points out of a possible 69 and have achieved only 1 win in our last 12 PL games spanning from the end of last season too.

That is an abysmal record that Pardew is being judged for, so I would disagree that we are the most deluded fans in the world and I would take exception to you insulting your own fans like that.

    – We are protesting against his increasingly poor results over the past two years.

    – We are protesting against his deceit and empty promises.

    – We are protesting against his mismanagement of the club and the playing staff.

    – We are protesting against his misrepresentation of our hopes and expectations.

    – We are protesting against his decision to continue on in what is now an untenable position.

Ashley isn’t going anywhere without a buyer. He is a long term problem.

Pardull is a short term and highly visible manifestation of what we have to sit through each miserable game after miserable game.

He is the easier and more immediate target.

    Pardew out.

B&W, he lost eight in a row at Charlton. Equalled our all time record of 6 here, only not to be broken because we played a relegated side in Cardiff. We haven’t won since.

Mismanaged Tevez to not score in 13 games.

Only a mega turd manager could achieve these types of feats, and that is just the tip of a sprawling iceberg.

    Abysmal.

    Prodigy.

    Krul – Dutch International
    Janmaat – Dutch international
    Colo – Argentina International
    Haidara – French U21
    Anita – Dutch International
    Sissoko – French International
    Colback – England Call up
    Tiote – Ivory Coast International
    Gouffran – French U21
    Cabella – French International
    Riviere – French U21

That was just from last game.

    Siem – Dutch International
    Cisse – Senegal International
    Santon – Italy

…just off the top of my head.

He let go and didn’t replace:

    Hatem – French International
    MYM – French International

They are NOT poor players, they are internationally honoured players. They are being mismanaged to play awful and prehistoric football which is totally alien to them.

A team is built on cohesion and tactics aimed on working together, just like Frank De Boer strives to do with the Ajax and Barcelona mentality. We have only had super rare glimpses of that in the entire time Pardump has been here, patched over by the players’ individual ability to nick points.

Bring on 3pm and that puppet…
