you all should stop seeing Hull city like they are conference side.

they have a a very strong team and it was a massive result for us coming back from 2 down.

we have been crap the whole of 2014 but this is the first time the players actually fought for us and showed pride in wearing the shirt. atleast it is a start.

it’s a platform we can build on. pardew has showed fantastic character and he must be backed with a cb and a striker as he has requested. Williamson is completely rubbish and when he has the ball everyone just drops back knowing that we are going to be under pressure.

this is not pardew’s fault. when williamson is replaced in the starting 11 thats when we can judge pardew.

    Don’t understand the game?
Should Jelavic’s goal not been easily dealt with by Colback moments before?
Should Diame’s not been avoided by being sharper and closing the player down?

Tbh I’d say anyone saying today was a good performance could just as easily be accused of only watching the score line because the first 70 minutes were the same disjointed non harmonious isolated dross we’ve played since Xmas

I’m not saying people don’t understand the game. I’m saying some of the bloggers on here severely lack intelligent and diligent critical thinking abilities.

    It’s all extremes.

People are segmented into two camps. Pardew out and pardew in.

The world isn’t that black and white neither are people.

I dislike pardew with a passion but that doesn’t prevent me from praising an improved performance. At the same time praising a decent team performance is not an expression of support for pardew.

Yet for people like jack butler it is seen that way. He’s put 2 and 2 together and got 5000. Because he can’t think logically. His mental maps are all out of whack and he doesn’t see the map is not the terrain.

Can we do this more often? What wait 70 minutes to play any semblance of decent football against a side whom we should expect to beat at home every day of the week?

    Yeah, why not…

I have said that it was a decent performance by the players, what I can’t understand is the people who are loving the players fighting for the manager when they have done sod all all year.

It’s one game lets see what happens over the next run of games shall we

And yes, it was an improved performance from the disgusting ‘team display’ against Southampton but it was by no means a good performance. Hull soaked everything up that we had to throw at them in the first half and deservedly went 2-0 up through great finishes that was preceded by very sloppy play.

Thankfully Cisse showed glimpses that he’s back and dragged us back into the game and after that we looked like a different team. Other than his contribution we’d have easily succumbed to a 2-0 defeat so let’s not fool ourselves.

    Hard to tell isn’t it?

I think he will do good as a wing and in the trequartista role, in generel our wings cuts in field, today Hull had 2-3 men on him immediately when he recieved the ball on several occasions.

    Widowmaker // Sep 20, 2014 at 5:28 PM

Dummets main flaw is not the lack of agility rather it seems he needs some pace training, i have never seen him playing the CB position, i would like to, i think the cup is a good spot.

And he needs to position him self better, got caught hanging at least once today.

I have no issue with the teams spirit this week. Great fightback. Only 4 games and 70 mins late. If we can pressure a side like that and attack when our backs are against the wall, surely it proves that the players themselves are capable, but the set up is wrong from the start. Even I can accept that thats Pardews fault. HE IS SCARED TO ATTACK FROM THE START!

Tiote was MOTM. He was everywhere. He added bite and drive in the middle of the park.

Cisse was excellent and demonstrated what we have been missing.

I’m not sure what Gouffran and Cabella give the team. Cabella does not look like a 12 million player.

Will Cisse start the next game and if so will he partner Riviere or will Riviere end up on the bench ?

we all want to see pardew sacked but why would ashley want to see him sacked when there these fans are going to demand he is sacked by showing SACK PARDEW.COM.

When i saw them pieces of paper i was thinking they were going anti SD but infact it looked more like they were fans of SD!
so ashley is getting more SD advertising for free and i can see the papers tomorrow showing them.

so more reason ashley keeps him.

I never said players were fighting for the manager.

Truth be told I have no clue whether they were or not.

I suspect they were fighting more for themselves. Or simply because it is their job to win matches.

Unless you subscribe to the notion mike Ashley hires them all to take down the club from the inside because of his personal vendetta against the Geordies.

Pardews job is definitely safe , Mash said we have to be patient.

I still think we’ll be relegated, we will have to rely on Cisse to get our goals.

Where you been mate? You are an intelligent man and you know that’s not what I mean. I’ll clarify: Can we do this more often means: Pressure all over the pitch; giving it all; dominating possession; over 25 attempts…
Those two were wonder goals they scored. We should have won this hands down.

Praise the manage for what exactly?

What part of today’s performance was better than the one against palace or villa? We sat back, conceded 2 then panicked. We were saved by a substitute just as we were at palace. We were at home against a team we should be picking up points from and got a solitary point.

So I ask again, we played the same as we did against the two previously mentioned teams, the results the same so in what way was today an improved performance?

Those that accuse others of being deluded tend to be equally delusional.

I would be happy to sit here and celebrate a win, but I am sat here disappointed in a draw, and the same performance I have seen for 9 months. That is our managers fault, he has had 9 months to turn things around and hasn’t. He has to go.

Why? Because after a complete and utter capitulation 7 days ago i expect Pardew to have the team well drilled and cut out the glaring errors that cost us 4 goals the week before

Think you could be more suited to supporting Durham
    Just saying of course

Oh btw, these aren’t issues he’s haas to address over night, he’s had since January to work on these problems
But insists on the same formation, same players out of position, same tactics, same cautious approach

So please please tell me how 15 minutes of effective football, because the previous 75 were the same old, no intent, no cutting edge and no real idea of what we were supposed to be doing, count as an upward spiral?

How does wanting to see more commitment from the players, not just 15 minutes of rallying, make me more suited as a glory hunter?

Perhaps respond with the condescending attitude

Hey what do you know Pardew actually acknowledged the fact that he didn’t want to conjure up an excuse for the game as he said he knows he has been accused of making up to many of them ok its a start.. Now if he could only listen to the calls of changing his tactics and starting XI and maybe being told to walk if this tragic run of results ensues
