Pardew Cannot Afford Any Slip-Ups In Next Two Games

You cannot accuse Alan Pardew of being successful in the Cups since he came to Newcastle almost four years ago, but it may be that this season is when he needs to produce a decent cup run – if only to help our players raise their confidence levels – after they must have hit rock bottom at Southampton ten days ago with that 4-0 hammering.

Mehdi Abeid – could get a game tomorrow night

A defeat in the Capital One Cup tomorrow night will see the pressure cranked up big time for our next league game at Stoke on Monday night, and you can bet your life the media will build up the game almost as a do or die game for the Newcastle manager.

Certainly being a Premier League manager is not an easy job, as Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal is realizing at the moment, and the Red Devils – after all the money they spent in the summer – are only 2 points better off than we are after being hammered 5-3 by newly promoted Leicester City on Sunday.

The good news for Newcastle is that Papiss Cisse and Cheick Tiote are back from injury, and they both had very good games on Saturday, but Pardew will need to give a game to some fringe players like Mehdi Abeid, Sammy Ameobi, Massadio Haidara and maybe Steven Taylor tomorrow night – to see what they can do for the club.

But we think given the importance of the next two games the manager could try to play almost his best team in both games.

A defeat tomorrow night would not be good, and if we can get through to the 4th round at Selhurst Park, that will give the lads some confidence that they can go out and get the win next Monday night at the Britannia Stadium, which is really what’s required.

But fans are not too confident we can win tomorrow night with two out of three fans thinking we will lose that game.

While it’s very difficult to keep in a positive mood with so much negativity around Newcastle at the moment, that’s what Alan Pardew and his coaching staff have to do.

Whether they are successful at doing that could determine their futures at Newcastle.

your for and against pardew comments were , hmmm long on the for side and very very short against side

his 3 things he has done at nufc are
    5th place
    manager or the year awards
    and Take heat for MASHLEY

    and that’s it

the list form him going, where to start,
1 the football, is shocking . and ALWAYS has been under him. we get a lot of results through luck than any kind of plan
    2. of the longest runs without a win in his last 2 seasons.
3, his record against Sunderland. and its not just losing the game, its by how many goals we conceded at home against a team that was bottom of the league
4 our form for 2014, if you make a team up of teams in the prem for just 2014, we are miles behind everyone else,

I could go on, but im afraid id be 6 threads behind by the time I finish

    one last point.

CABAYE wanted to leave. he went on strike to force a move. pardew new about it, stop using it for why we play so poor

the season before, we had a run of 20 games + without a win, cabaye was playing for us then,

Difference between Pardew and Mourinho…. Alan believes everything he tells himself, and others, whereas Mourinho deliberately says daft things to wind up the media! 😀

One thing it looks like Pardew was right about, mind, is the fact that pellegrini is, in fact, an old cnut!! Hes been having a pop at the way chelsea played, just because it looks like chelsea will win the title this year.

Pardew is unsackable. Garbage last season should’ve been sacked. Season before last garbage should’ve been sacked. Headbutted fellow proffesional (pardumbs anything but) abused pellegrini which had it occurred in the street could’ve amounted to a criminal offence. The man is an absolute bel*end and should’ve been long gone. Apologies a bel*end has a purpose.

I’d give cisse more game time tomorrow. Maybe an hour? We could do with him keeping his scoring boots on, as he might be the only one who can save us from relegation!
