The following policies should be taken into consideration before commenting:
An update on my health situation - we have terminated the PluVicto treatment halfway through, because of the severity of the side effects - diarrhea, vomiting, and acid reflux.
And there was no evidence the treatment was having any positive effect in stopping the prostate cancer from spreading in the bones.
There are no treatments left for me to go on.I will go into home hospice care now and will have a hospice nurse visit me at home regularly to ensure I am as comfortable as possible and we will treat the side effects of the treatments I have had.
It's down the final stretch now, and I have run out of treatments, and nature will now take its course.
I hope Newcastle can get many wins this season from now on, and I am at peace with all of this.
Thanks for all your help through the years - it's very much appreciated

Comment #1Someone needs to have a word with Arma about his hirsuitness. If you turned his head upside on his shoulders, you’d notice little difference in appearance. Looks like he should be advertising John West sardines, rather than swinging in winning goal crosses.

Comment #3I thought Dummett and Sammy looked great together on the left hand side until Janmaat went off and we had a reshuffle would like Sammy to take Gouffrans place for a few games because Sammy is now working as hard tracking back but offers end product as well I mean I would not mind seeing Gouffran up front just now on the wing !
Obertan is better when he starts a game seems to freak out a little when coming off the bench great work rate and some end product
Thought Abeid was great at times some of his range of passing was Cabaye esque although he can run with the ball and is strong would like to see him get a go in the middle with say Tiote and Cabella feel that would be a great trio
Riviere looked better with having proper balls into the box we did not float them in we played them on the ground with pace which is the way most teams score goals and he looked better for it
Armstrong for making his debut has 2 assists and put a shift in , had some shots and showed other good touches so a decent start for the youngster would like him to come off the bench more
Perez looked lively as well quite happy to see him come off the bench in most games we have needed a young player to come on who can make a difference for a while

Comment #4Very happy with the result, it’s good to see the team showing the commitment what is expected from them.
Over the moon for Riviere. But I do understand the level of tonights cup tie and the Premier League games is where he really needs to find his feet and put the ball in the back of the net. Still, I t can only do him good.
Overall, great game. We showed the desire and commitment to win and we seen it through. I do think we are lacking as a squad though and can see us struggling against top Premier League opposition and some of the more mid table outfits also if we recieve any sort of injuries to key players.
De Jong and Santon back asap please. We are lacking quality on the bench.

“By 17 yr old standards I’m sure he’s fantastic
By Senior team standards he’s distinctly AVERAGE”
“I didnt say he was a bad player I said he was AVERAGE”

Comment #6Newcastle are rebuilding yet again, and even if this side comes good, and it can, particularly if we strengthen again in January, we do seem to have chosen to be in a precarious cycle that only takes one poorly judged transfer window to come undone, and is even less likely to challenge the top six.
We’ve had a win, but to be honest I don’t see an awful lot to be happy about.

What you reckon at Citeh,
0-7….. Or the reverse?

Comment #8Arma hasn’t even shown himself to be average by EPL standards yet. An outstanding 17 year old, with plenty still to do from what I’ve seen of him, and of course understanding just how hard it is to succeed at this level, becoming even an average Premiership player would be an achievement. He seems capable, rather than great, at this early stage, and most often if a player is going to be a star, you can recognise it early. To be honest, I feel he lacks physically, without the extraordinary skill needed to overcome that.

Just back from the match, well match/emotional roller coaster!
Have to say something happened tonight……a glimpse of the NUFC of old turned up!
We actually played with a degree of passion and intensity tonight, there are still some glaring issues with this squad, but tonight we actually turned up and wanted to play
We looked much better in a 442 and Rivvy looked more and more confident as the game went on
Elliot
Elliot went from zero to villain to hero tonight, he looked rusty in the warm up, looked shaky from the off had an absolute mare with distribution and had a howler for there 2nd goal, but completely redeemed himself with a point blank range save deep in extra time
Janmaat
Looked good going forward, looked poor at the back, few dodgy backpasses and him and Taylor didn’t look comfortable linking up
Taylor
Taylor had one of those classic mixed bag games, something good immediately followed by something mind boggling stupid, still doesn’t look that fit and his positional awareness really isn’t great
But tbf he made some decent interceptions
Colo
Colo! Colo! Colo! It was honestly like watching the Colo we all fell head over heals in love with in the fizzy pop
He was everywhere! He always offered himself for the ball, he played it out, he made tackles, he made interceptions, he did his heart attack inducing trademarks of skinning players in his own box and then to top it off pulled a box to box run out of the bag and played an inch perfect through ball to Obertan
My MOTM
Dummet
When i first saw Dummet it was away to Brighton and at the time thought this lad looks canny, it’s fair to say he’s slumped big time over the last season
But tonight he was phenomenal, his tackling was full on, committed, well timed, he read the game well, made interceptions, won headers, overlapped Sammy/Obertan got the ball in, made some great runs
And man, his goal, where the hell did he come from! The lad was like an Exocet missile, fantastic header and fully deserved
Haidara
Has just given Pardew a massive selection headache, looked equally as impressive as Dummet
Good turn of pace, read the game well and won the majority of his battles, great display
Abied
Can anyone clear up why the hell he got a red? Because the majority of the fans didn’t even realise he’d been sent off until he was near the tunnel!
Gutted for him becuase he was brilliant tonight
What an engine this lad has, he bossed midfield, his passing was spot on, the lad battled for everything, never gave up if he lost possession and was always looking up to try and make something happen
Colback
Decent game, solid if unspectacular good little enforcer but f**k me Pardew stop getting him to take Corners!
Sammy
Faded in and out of the game, had flashes of brilliance but also had flashes of Ameobi where he’d just stroll around the pitch in the first half, second half much better but doesn’t look 100% fit
Obertan
Actually really surprised , had an indifferent opening 20 minutes but grew in to the game, held the ball up well, still dawdles on it a bit to much when you want him to just put it in but tbf to the lad he was always looking to drive the team forward and bring others into the attack
Oh and Jesus the lad must of spent a year in the gym, the f**ker is huge!
Arma
Really impressed, no where near the finished article, but the lad is a very busy little player, strong on the ball, needs to get his heed up a bit more
The lad can use both feet well and wow has he got a rocket of a shot on him!
Rivvy
Missed a few decent chances but took his goal very very well and was cool as f**k burying that pen like
Was breathing out his ars3 when he came off but great effort from him tonight and looks miles better with someone to play off
Sissoko
Disappointing didn’t really influence the game
Perez
Showed some great touches need to start using him a bit more
The ref btw was woeful tonight, shocking display
The crowd were phenomenal tonight, was expecting a but of a toxic atmosphere but they were in full voice
All in all a good performance and were still in the cup!!!!

As you implied, 4-4-2 seemed to work, again.
But will Pardew realise that that formation works and stick to it?
We’ll see.
