Newcastle United midfielder Jack Colback has been left out of Roy Hodgson’s England squad for the upcoming European Championship qualifiers against San Marino and Estonia during the International break.
Jack Colback – left out of England squad
Southampton right-back Nathaniel Clyne, who was once a Newcastle target, has got his first England call-up, and Arsenal left-back Kieran Gibbs and Swansea City midfielder Jonjo Shelvey are both recalled to the squad.
It’s probably Newcastle’s poor form this season that has cost Jack his place in the England squad, became he’s been playing well for Newcastle.
England will play San Marino at Wembley on 9th October before travelling to face Estonia on 12th October in the Euro 2016 qualifying games..
Here’s the England squad just announced by Hodgson:
Goalkeepers: Fraser Forster (Southampton), Ben Foster (West Bromwich Albion), Joe Hart (Manchester City)
Defenders: Leighton Baines (Everton), Gary Cahill (Chelsea), Nathaniel Clyne (Southampton), Kieran Gibbs (Arsenal), Phil Jagielka (Everton), John Stones (Everton)
Midfielders: Fabian Delph (Aston Villa), Jordan Henderson (Liverpool), Adam Lallana (Liverpool), James Milner (Manchester City), Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (Arsenal), Jonjo Shelvey (Swansea City), Raheem Sterling (Liverpool), Andros Townsend (Tottenham Hotspur), Jack Wilshere (Arsenal)
Forwards: Rickie Lambert (Liverpool), Wayne Rooney (Manchester United), Danny Welbeck (Arsenal)

He needs to be dropped for someone more offensive .
Sick of us playing with two Defensive midfielders and having our wingers track back as well. It clearly doesn’t work as we concede for fun .

Comment #4Ok I read a lot about how to try and get rid of Ashley and Pardew from our club and have seen the various groups propose different ideas some of which I think are effective but don’t seem to gather the support they perhaps should? I think to really mobalise something against the club we need a solid figurehead. Someone all the fans respect like an ex-player, Rob Lee comes to mind as someone who has spoken out against the club. You might even get the likes of Keegan to spearhead something as its no secret he cares little for Ashley!
I agree with those who say the best way to rid ourselves of Ashley is to boycott games though I do sympathise with those who still want to support their team through thick and thin.
So what if we propose an alternative?
What if we could get hold of one of those giant screens they have at festivals each year and encourage fans to turn up and watch the games on one of these screens near the stadium. You would get a game day atmosphere with other like minded fans whilst giving the finger to Ashley at the same time! The media would love it and I am sure Newcastle Council would get behind any idea that aims to get rid of Ashley.
I also feel a prolonged campaign against Sports Direct would be beneficial. Attacking the thing he loves most would make him take notice! Picketing outside his shops about how bad their 0 hour contracts are and how their merchandise is made in sweat shops all the while wearing Newcastle shirts so he is well aware of those who are behind it. This could also be country wide and doesn’t have to be limited to a Saturday!
Sorry for the long post but just a few ideas that came to me that someone might be able to run with?

Comment #6It’s amazing how NUFC are just sleepwalking to relegation. All the signs were there last season that Pardew had lost the dressing room long since
and apparently the return of Andy carroll rests on AP still being the manager.
yes the sick note, perma crock that even the high priest of hoofball fat sham wants rid of !!!

the point you continually choose to miss is that more good players will not make pardew a good manager, for MYM and HBA, read Tevez and Mascherano being a typical case in point.
Left to his own devices AP our new CB and CF would have Tomkins and Bent to accompany his other choice Obertan.
Players are on to pardew and his total lack of any progressive modern tactics.
Could you really see pardew going in at Southampton and doing as well as Koeman has in the same circs.
Pardew wants english grafters and to play hoofball. Simple as. Total dinosaur

Comment #8I don’t know why this is a surprise? JC only got called to the squad so Hodgson could have a look at him in a friendly. His form last couple of games hasn’t exactly justified his inclusion in the club team, never mind the nations.

Comment #9Every player Pardew gets his hands on is ruined, that fact has finally dawned on Tiote watching his career slip into Pardews black hole while his international mate Toure plays at the highest level.

Comment #10The only types of footballer happy with Pardews third rate rubbish are the Williamsons who know no better as they’re from the same background as Pardew.

Comment #13Could Pardew go into Saturdays game with no strikers – desperate to get a point with a Nil-Nil
ie.
Krul
Dummet, Williamson, Coloccini, Taylor, Janmaat
Sissoko, Colbeck, Tiote, Goufran, Cabella

Comment #15I don’t need stats I can see with my own eyes how utter sh!te we are – we had 16 shots against Stoke with 1 on target, most of those shots were closer to the corner flag than the goal – players are panicking and shooting from anywhere – we will go down without a doubt under pardew, the players are putting the effort in but can’t seem to play as a team

The irony is now that Tompkins would be an improvement on our centre backs. That’s how bad it is due to pardew’s mismanagement of our squad.

Comment #20So Tiote’s come out and said he’s been misquoted then eh! Yeah ok then.
More like been forced to backtrack as after all the PR spin of late from the kings favourites ie team spirit. We’re all in it together and trying hard. Tiote’s quotes didn’t exactly endorse this did they. North Korea indeed.
Just for clarification “the Bishop” has always been with fatty and is only more recently employed by the king. So all this talk of parachuting in to save the kings bacon is absurd, he’s been in the background for awhile.
