Gutierrez Has Beautiful New Girlfriend – Upbeat On Future

Jonas Gutierrez has been interviewed in People magazine, and the 31 year-old Newcastle footballer has revealed he has a new girlfriend   Alejandra Maglietti,  and they started going together just before  he started to fight his testicular cancer last year.

We also see Jonas for the first time without his long hair which he has lost through his chemotherapy treatment – but he looks pretty good to us.

This is some of what he had to say in the magazine:

“My mom wants to get married.” “My two brothers have partners, and she’s worried about me, at my age, living alone with my three dogs.”

“The other day I joked to Ale ‘I changed the package – sold me a muscular and runner guy, and now I have a bald chubby.'”

“She has to grow a lot in her career, and I do not want to cut it off – that’s not fair.” “We do not speak much of the future and for now we have fun.”

“Alejandra showed me some pictures of actress Lorena Meritano.” “She fights the disease by uploading photos with her shaved head, but she has positive messages.”

“It was my trigger and do not want to lie, and say things like I returned to Buenos Aires for an injury.” It”s better this way, because I have received support from all sides.”

“Today I know that fighting cancer makes the rest of the problems look  insignificant. It is the most difficult game you have to play, but my hope is firm that everything will end well.”

A lot more people these days who are fighting cancer are going public with the news, and of course once you realize you have cancer it changes your views on life a lot – it focuses you on what’s really important in this life, and you are never quite the same person again.

From that aspect it can even be a positive experience, as strange as that may sound – anyway that’s been my experience.

And from what we can tell Jonas is going all out in his fight against the disease – and when you do that you always have a  better chance of success.

We’re not kidding when we say Jonas looks good – even without that long hair – his girlfriend looks pretty good too. 😀

Go for it Jonas!

‘…….and now I have a bald chubby’. Hey, you can’t say that, it’s rude.

Its really unnerving seeing jonas without the trademark locks. At least he’s still got his sense of humour throughout it all, get well soon jonas!

Coloccini is correct. We are having a lot more possession this year. This is actually an improvement on last year; a good sign of better quality players. The fact that we are not doing enough with it in the final third is obvious given how badly our attackers are performing.

In my view the team’s greatest problem is that with more possession, we are more open to counterattacking plays. We need fast and skillful centrebacks to minimize the space opponents will have on the counter. However, such players are very expensive (Luiz 50m, Shaw 30m, Lovren 25m etc.) due to high demand among the top European teams who play with more possession.

Colocini, Williamson, Taylor, Dummett are not suited to play this possession based game.

Gorgeous girl! If only I could land one like that that is also sane. Is that too much to ask?
