Low Expectations – Huge Opportunity

We suppose that when we haven’t won in six league games, and we haven’t scored in four of those games, not many Newcastle fans will think we can get anything at Swansea, where we lost 3-0 last season.

Alan Pardew – has nothing to lose – go for it

A massive 85% think we will lose the game on Saturday in south Wales.

So one way the players and Alan Pardew can look at this is that they have nothing to lose – since nothing much is expected of them.

So if the lads can get a win that would be massive, especially before the long two week International break.

It’s a huge opportunity for the players and for the manager.

Good point about the problems we’ll have to get in any sort of quality manager once Pardew goes (as go he must sooner or later).

Rotonda referred to the quality manager Southampton acquired in the close season, but of course the Saints also spent 75 million in the transfer market on quality players, 5 of whom cost 9 million and above. Any possible manager seeing this sort of ambition from the owner will be attracted to a club in a way that anyone studying Ashley’s penny pinching and haggling regarding the purchase of players, along with his stipulation that cups and European football are strictly off the agenda will run a mile unless he is really desperate for a job.

if he play with 2 strikers we may get a goal or 2, but that dosnt mean we will win with our defence.
