What’s Newcastle’s Best Team For Swansea?

Alan Pardew said yesterday that he would make a couple of changes from the team that lost 1-0 at Stoke last Monday night for tomorrows game at Swansea.

gabby obertan gillingham

Gabby Obertan at Gillingham – could get start tomorrow

Papiss Cisse could well come into the reckoning and Ayoze Perez scored four goals for a Newcastle team that beat Carlisle 8-0 in a closed-door game earlier his week, so Perez has also staked a claim.

We assume that Pardew will keep his familiar 4-2-3-1 formation – and this could be his team for tomorrow:

Krul
Janmaat Williamson Coloccini (c) Dummett
Tiote Colback
Obertan Sissoko Perez
Cisse
Subs: Elliot Haidara Taylor (S) Anita Gouffran Cabella Riviere

Pardew may keep faith with Cabella for the game tomorrow, but it could also be that a rest on the subs bench could do the lad some good too. and it’s difficult to find a place on the bench for either of our local lads Sammy Ameobi or Adam Armstrong.

We think Gabby Obertan deserves a start tomorrow, after his very good performance on Monday night, when he was a threat down the right wing, and why not give Perez a start and see what the youngster can do – we haven’t got much to lose.

The only result that would be any good for fans tomorrow, given our current situation, is a win – although we’d take a draw too.

What would you team be for tomorrow?

Pardew will start with the same clueless lineup. Nailed on.

But we all know it will be the same 4-2-3-1 . Only change he might make is Obertan in for Gouffran .

Think that might be just about right Ed, although I expect Gouffran to keep his place. I don’t think he should but just feel he will.

Given the past 10 months, I’d say whatever Pardew chooses, do the complete opposite.

I can’t believe he’d play the 4-2-3-1 again but i’ve given up trying to figure Pardew out. Perez is quick and could come in on the LW instead of Gouffran, that would be a positive change at least.

Why is everyone so obsessed with playing a lone striker? It’s clearly not working for us, they always look so secluded up on their own. Pardew needs goals, and strikers get you goals. 2 strikers have to be played otherwise we really won’t have a chance against Swansea! Frustrates me when people think that putting Perez on the wing is clever too. He’s a flipping striker, a goal scorer, not a winger!!!!

    ………………..Tiote………..Calback………………
    Janmaat……………..Sissoko……………..Cabella
    …………………….Perez….Cisse……………………

Too slow defenders, have to stay back…

Deni, some surprises there but I would go along with that team and formation. Fancy a job?
