Two Pieces Of Good News For Newcastle

There are two pieces of good news this morning on the injury front, and one of them is that Ryan Taylor came successfully through his second comeback game at Benton yesterday, and played 70 minutes at right back for a Newcastle team that beat Burnley 4-1, and Adam Armstrong scored two goals.

daryl janmaat at huddersfield

Daryl Janmaat – should be fit for Leicester City game

Newcastle will take it very slowly with Ryan, who has been out of the game for over two years with ACL knee injuries, but there’s a possibility we could see him in the first team squad shortly, and certainly before the end of the year.

That’s good news indeed, and the 30 year-old has shown tremendous courage over the last couple of years of heartbreak and frustration.

And news today that Daryl Janmaat’s hamstring injury is not as serious as first believed, and it was a good move that the Dutch international withdrew from the Holland squad as a precaution.

The news is that he has been playing with a tight hamstring for a few games now, but he is said to have an excellent chance of being fit for our next game at home to Leicester City a week on Saturday, when former coach Nigel Pearson returns to Newcastle.

It seems that Newcastle have dealt with Daryl’s injury very well, and withdrew him from the Holland squad to give the hamstring time to heal fully,  and not risk him coming back from International duty with the injury worse than when he left Newcastle.

And if Ryan can get himself fit and well again, he could be used either at full-back or out on the wing, and he will give us some threat from those free kicks of his – and it’s interesting yesterday that he almost scored from a free kick – but the goalkeeper made a good save.

So two pieces of good news today. 😀

The side needs more than a fit right back to change its fortunes.

    1 Ashley sells us.
    2 Pardew sacked.
They would be the only snippets of news to get me aroused again.
No chance of that is there.

    Nothing important.
1.I think Anita would be better right full back than massive and slow Janmaat.
2.Ryan Taylor.Retirement as soon as possible.Sad but true and wise.

I understand that no licence is required for any advertisement carried on a private moving vehicle so long as the said advertisement is not breaking any regulations of its own…. and of course neither is the vehicle.
Wouldn’t it be appropriate therefore if some NUFC fans decided to celebrate the premiere of our long awaited big screen inside SJP by creating one of their own.
I can see a Sprinter van (or2 or 3) rigged up with a couple of large LED TV’s touring the streets around St James with a repeated video loop of Pardew nutting Meyler.
    Touche !!!

These 20 points are the lowest of all ever-present 2014 Premier League clubs, with Hull on 23 and West Brom on 26.

If they meant clubs who had never been relegated then why are hull and west Brom in it? They’ve not been present since the inception have they and by putting 2014 in the sentence it’s implying in, well 2014.

This just confirms your lack of footballing knowledge and terminology

You really are a thicko aren’t you.

ed is still on his one man mission to bury his head in the sand and pump out meaningless threads about people who are not coming to nufc

he could make a statement on whether he would like change at the club, but no

stupid stories about cabaye might want to come back, your talking about a player who was worshiped and first name on the team sheet but still went on strike to force a move to arsenal and only started playing for us when he was told he could leave in January,

wake up fella, there are more important things to talk about

RT back is only good new if we can move him on. Or he will still be another long ball player that P will love.

Maybe some free kicks aim at Williamson that’s abt it.

Do not expected RT to be like becks for every free kicks and even expect him to save us for every match with his free kicks. But some is right he is like a new signing that P can play his attacking now.

Stop being such a selfish, childish pratt. Get off Ed’s back man and don’t you think he’s got enough to deal with without reading snipes from you?

If you don’t like this blog, well, there are other options available to you.

Grow up and try compiling a wish list for Santa – maybe he’ll be able to meet your needs.

To be fair catchy, calling out Ed for his posts seems a little hypocritical when you look back at your post history for the last two years. Me included, there’s a log of repetitive drivel posted on here without slashing Ed of for keeping the ball rolling and the topics raging. There are quite a few blogs that don’t change article for days, try one of those if Ed bothers you.
