Newcastle Suffer Injury To Key Player

It’s the very last thing we wanted to happen, to have one of our best players return from International duty injured.

Tim Krul – has elbow injury

Tim Krul was an unused substitute in Holland’s 3-1 home win last night over Kazakhstan, with Jasper Cillessen of Ajax again getting the start, but Tim has injured his elbow in training, and he has been sent back to Newcastle for treatment.

Tim will not be available for Holland’s next Euro 2016 qualifying game next Monday night against Iceland, and Kenneth Vermeer of Feyenoord is the replacement for Tim in the Dutch squad.

But the main question now is whether he be fit enough to play in the game a week today against Leicester City at home – which is a vital game for Newcastle and one we have to win.

It doesn’t look good, but the Newcastle medics will have to assess the injury, and we’ll have to wait and see what the official prognosis is.

Tim has been coming into some good form recently too, but if he cannot play next Saturday, then it’s a good chance for number two goalkeeper Rob Elliot, who has rarely let the side down when he’s come into the first team.

This however is not good news for Alan Pardew or for Newcastle United, and it’s always annoying when our players return from International duty crocked.

the debate over weather or not mbiwa was a decent player we will just not know, players do very well in one league but awful in a different one, cabaye is an example we see at the minute. players can look very good in some teams but hey might have world class players around them, england players look great when playing for club but awful when combined and also a player can fit in very well at some clubs but others will not be the correct choice for them, torres chelsea, cabaye PSG, enrique and carroll liverpool.

we might not know his strengths in this league but what we will know is 3 people made things difficult for him and they were ashley, colo and pardew.

    1. colo and ashley- colo we know wants to return to argentina, the problem he faced was ashley being a greedy g1t wanting more than argentinian teams would offer, if colo was really so desperate for a move why not hand in a request that way he would have stood much greater chance of leaving.

    2. colo and pardew- pardew knows colo will not be happy sitting on the bench after being made to remain at the club, colo and mbiwa were not a good partnership as non were that strong in the air. He might have been captain but the stuff happing back home would not have made it easy for colo to captain the team, we also had a great vice captain tiote. Jonas is back in argentina at the minute, HBA could do what ever he wanted whilst injured so why didn’t pardew just allow colo to return home and give willo and mbiwa the spot.

pardew and ashley- the games mbiwa did get a start in were poor ones but them games had him playing as FB not CB, we did only have 1 RB at the club and still do, if ashley had not been so greedy we might have been able to buy a second FB, we see lots of CB do poor at FB so pardew is such a clown expecting mbiwa to be any good.
