Shearer – This Is What We Have To Do Against Leicester

Alan Shearer has again been interviewed exclusively by the Chronicle and he has talked about the game this Saturday – and Alan says we have to win this game — he’s right about that.

Alan Shearer – time for players to come through

And unfortunately we may have to do that without Tim Krul, and we are just a little nervous that Papiss Cisse and Cheick Tiote ate playing in Africa on Wednesday evening so we hope both those top players come through their African Cup of Nations qualifiers uninjured and ready to go on Saturday

Shearer was asked if it was time for the Newcastle players to start coming through for the team:

“The new signings have not shown us anywhere near the ability we need to show. But it’s not just them, it’s the whole team.” “Yes the new boys need to improve but so have the players that have been here for a while. It’s everybody.”

“We have to.¨ “We have to start to pull out results. Whether we play well doesn’t matter. We have to dig out and claw out some results.”  “The last result was decent. Any point away from home in our league is decent.¨

“A point at Swansea was good, whether we deserved it or not doesn’t matter.¨ “We’ve now got to get three points against Leicester because we have to start winning games, if we don’t we will be in a big hole.”

Alan had previously told the Chronicle he was worried for Newcastle this season, and although his didn’t mention relegation – he did say he thought it could be another long and hard season for the fans – yes – another one.

But the way Alan talks about the team shows he’s just a fan, and wants the lads to win, and he’s usually thinking positively about things – much like he did when he was playing and scoring goals for Newcastle.

Oh, to have a striker like Alan in the side right now.

Wonder how fit he is at the moment? 😀

Don’t think Timmy is in the top 10 for premier league keepers so Elliott will probably be the worst keeper starting for a premier league team thIs weekend! Just another position where we will be weak in. Not usually his fault but when elliott plays we tend to let in a few!
10 keepers id rate above krul for arguments sake in no particular order-
Hart, de Gea, cech, courtois, Caballero, lloris ,szcezcny, begovic, Forster, howard, vorm.
Still have him before mignolet tho

Al, Legend BLah, we’re not worthy Blah,

Despite being right. Not really helping pointing out what everyone already knows. Well said Ed

Put your boots where your mouth is Al. Stop gabbing shit, get over there and start knocking them in. If your knees are up to it of course and with the utmost respect due for your God like status, naturally.
