This Is Newcastle’s Best Team Against Leicester

Since Newcastle beat Crustal Palace 1-0 with a stoppage time winner from Papiss Cisse, Newcastle have gone 15 league game with just one win and four draws – so’ that’s 7 points form our last 15 games, which is absolutely terrible record and certainly relegation form.

Remy Cabella – on bench today

This season we have four draws which is why today’s home game is a must win game for the lads, and we have to think that Alan Pardew will play the players who are in form.

And there was some good news on Thursday at the Pardew press conference,  when Tim Krul, Daryl Janmaat and Paul Dummett were all said to be fit for this game.

We also think that Alan will play in a 4-3-3 formation and that the team is likely to be as follows:

Janmaat Williamson Coloccini (captain) Dummett
Colback Tiote Sissoko
Obertan Cisse Gouffran
Subs: Elliot Haidara Anita Ameobi Cabella Perez Riviere

And that would be an unchanged side from the one that drew 2-2 last time out two weeks ago at Swansea.

Since the 4-0 thrashing at Southampton, we have seen some improved form from the lads, with two draws in three league games and a good win at Crystal Palace in the Capital One Cup.

But failure to win today would keep the doom and gloom among Newcastle supporters, there’s no doubt about that.

We are susceptible to the counter attack with the lack of pace (colo and will) or else I would agree with full attack. I would definitely play oba and he was one player I wanted rid of.
I might be wrong but I believe Cisse has his mojo back, I have always thought he is a half chance finisher, instinctive finisher that does not want time to think what to do.
Oba has pace and leave two on the half way line when they get corners which will make them leave three or four back…..I hope.
we never have an outlet when opposition have corners.
How the hell the powers that be thought we could survive this season with three slow CB’s is simply criminal.
