This Gives Magpies Chance To Get Two Wins In A Row At Spurs

Newcastle are by no stretch of the imagination out of the woods yet – although it was great to get our first win of the season on Saturday against Leicester City – and it certainly was a great feeling – one Newcastle fans hadn’t had since early May – our last league win –  when we hammered Cardiff City 3-0 at home (with two very late goals to make it look better than it was).

Cheick Tiote wednesday-3

Cheick Tiote – back on Saturday

Next up is a tough game at Tottenham on Sunday,  and that will be very difficult, and then we face Liverpool at home the following weekend.

One thing that may give us a (big) chance at White Hart Lane is that Tottenham face Greek side Asteras tomorrow night at home in Group C of the Europa League, so maybe they will not be at their best on Sunday?

It would be terrific if we could get a second win in a row, and we’re sure that’s what the lads will be going for this weekend, and with players like Cheick Tiote, Mike Williamson and Manu Riviere likely to be back – we should be able to field a decent side.

Wether Spuds play Thursday & Sunday is not going to make the slightest difference to their ability to perform on Sunday.
Unlike us, they actually have some good depth to their squad and the Manager will rotate players if and when needed.

After knock out that we suffered lasting one POOR year, now we strive for a win.Nice sounding and interesting but not much realistically. The most possible result is DRAW.If Cabella plays maybe? we can even MORE.

We struggle really bad against teams playing the modern continental passing/ high pressing game (Everton, Arsenal, Southampton, Sunderland – all games I’ve won a lot of money on and we’ve ALWAYS got hammered in) Now Spurs have Pocchetino they play this way and they’ll put pressure on shaky Iron Mike if he’s playing. I think these new styles baffle Pardew as he didn’t come up against them as a player and with his limited brain power I guess it will take a decade or so for him to adapt. We only seem to win english style slug fests where it comes down to who wants it most or who runs about the most.
