Pardew Press Conference – We Haven’t Got A Crisis

Alan Pardew has given his press conference today, and the bad news is that Papiss Cisse has been suffering from a knee injury all week, and he may not make the Spurs game on Sunday, but the Newcastle manager believes we have players to come in if the Senegal striker cannot make the game in London.

Alan Pardew – important we get away from relegation area

The Newcastle manager is hoping we can get our second win in a row and our second successive win at White Hart Lane, after we won there 1-0 last season.

Newcastle are in the relegation zone at 3rd bottom and we have to try to pick up wins to climb the league table.

This is some of what Pardew said today:

“It’s important because you don’t want to be in the relegation area. It brings extra pressure, of course, and the spotlight is on you whichever those teams are.¨  “That’s why it’s important to get a real run of games where you get a good run,  and you get yourselves away from the bottom where we are.”

“But I have to say, the Premier League is very, very strong this year and any wins that I’ve seen, apart from a few, have been very, very close, and a there’s been a lot of good standard of play right through the division.¨

“We have not got a crisis, but we have one or two we are kind of waiting for – Riviere, is he going to be available? Papiss, Cheick Tiote – and I’m not really going to be clear on any of that until tomorrow.¨

¨But we have got players in the group to cope if they don’t make it.¨  “Rolando, I think, will be back shortly. Davide Santon is some time away. But Ryan Taylor should return this week, and I think if that’s not an inspirational story to everybody here and everybody in football.

¨ That’s because this is a guy who has had terrible, terrible bad luck with cruciate injuries, and he has come back again.”

Emmanuel Riviere hasn’t hit any form since signing on from Monaco in the summer, but young Ayoze Perez has looked impressive, and he may get some playing time on Sunday.

Ryan Taylor is back from his double injury to his knee, and that should inspire our players on Sunday – as Alan alluded to – if they need to look for some inspiration.

Maybe Ryan can get on and score from one of those free kicks of his – wouldn’t that be something.

I wonder how the Rangers fans will feel when Ashley makes Neil Lennon DOF.

Don’t make a drama out of a crisis, or is that don’t turn this soap opera into a crisis. Pardew will say anything but his prayers, if the man thinks everything is rosy he needs admiring to St Nicks for a few weeks. TOOL

seems like any small hope we get is ripped away from us 🙁

firstly rolando then he gets injured then cisse comes back and gets 4 in 4 then he gets injured and before that siem is scoring for fun and looking like the missing link in pre season then hey presto inured for half a season !!!
lets see how long it is before obertan gets injured now ^^

so is it still anti parjew or do fans now understand that is SHOULD be fcuken ANTI ASHLEY more than anything, screaming “you fat cockney b@stard has failed but that’s just words I say it all the time show bad publicity about his SD.

as for parjew just forget about him, he talks bull but barton got sacked for speaking truth.
he has bad tactics but why good manager would work for Ashley.
good managers might have these conditions, fcuk those teams because i’m sick of all these wise parjew JFK lambsarse appointments coming in.

the sacking of 12th place manager chris hughton was another thing that proves Ashley doesn’t give a sh1t.
the summer following our 5th place proved it
    last fcuken seasons no signings.
and all this talk of owning rangers.

    P!SS OFF ASHLEY
    THEN FCUKEN PAJEW CAN GO.

I just don’t see how Raylor gets ahead of Janmaat on the team sheet? Great that he’s back and he’s had a terrible run of luck the last two years but is he really going to be anything but a bit part player on our short cup runs this year?

If Cisse and Rivvy aren’t fit:

    Krul
    Janmaat/Saylor/Coloccini/Dummett
    Sissoko/Tiote/Colback
    Obertan/Arma/Cabella

Put in Abeid if Tiote isn’t fit. Anita is just another player Pardew can’t manage.

On the fatty rangers interest. He’s making his power play without upping his stake. Getting rid of the two who opposed him with the original deal of him having the rights to the club badge and crest in turn for his cash. The original vote of no confidence he tried obviously didn’t have the desired effect so now he’s offering cash to get rid of them.

I mentioned this exact scenario a few weeks ago where he doesn’t actually have to up his stake, just get rid of these two off the board, employ his own people on it and they will answer only to him and call only his shots. This way he doesn’t have to break the underwriting he had with the Scottish FA. Sitting in the background totally hands off for appearances sake whilst pulling the strings on the sly and once he’s got rid of those two who’s left to stop him getting his grubby hands on the thing he wants the most, the badges and crests.

The way he’s gone about acquiring and scheming leads me to only one conclusion. He isn’t selling us at all. Why would he when he can have the best of both worlds.

Fat slug out. The king out.

Raylor will come in at Right back. Fair enough he is right footed, but it is the only place we can bring him in. He is as solid as Dummet defensively and will give us much needed dead ball threat.

He’s as close as he’s ever been – The king about Abeid.

Yet to make a single premier league appearance.

Give him a chance ffs you knobber.

While your at it why not give arma or Perez a game too? After all your all for giving youth a chance aren’t you king? And I don’t mean 5 fcuking minute cameo’s you cretin.

    tiote

    Sissoko colback

    Abeid

    cabella/arma?

    Perez/arma?

If tiote isn’t making it drop Abeid back stick cabella where Abeid is and have arma and Perez up top. It’s better than the shit system we keep using imo plus it can easily be changed to a 4-3-3 or 4-4-2 with a few tweaks.

Pardews biggest problem is his own high self opinion of himself, he never gives the young guns a go. Armstrong, Perez, Sammy, Haidarra, Biggi, Abied, Obertan all given the cold shoulder by the berk!

That’s it. He revels in his own excrement and claims he gives youth a chance not just here but everywhere he’s been. 5 minute cameo’s does not constitute giving youth a chance. Liar.

We’ll rarely see Armstrong, Abeid, or Aarons & in 2 years we’ll hear that “they didn’t didn’t develop like we expected them to,” while we’re still scratching our heads watching Gouffran, Sissoko, and Obertan and wondering what they do. And then the twat will bring out the old chestnut about “I’ve usually got a good track record with young players. I gave Oxlade, Shelvey and a sh*t West Ham player 5 minutes once.”

erm tbf guys us fans slated the hell outa pards when he fielded half a youth team and it def didnt do there development any good when they was played as they were dire and after the game it was agreed by pretty much everyone that it wasnt fair on them and they was played too soon so we cant go back on it and expect the best of both worlds can we ?

we still have a very young squad even without perez/arma/rolando ect and i’d rather them being bled into a team on confidence and brought on when we are leading than pushed into a team fighting to get out of relegation as it will just get the fans on there backs and ruin the rest of there careers.

agree they are good enough now and close to being better than what pards is picking esp perez imo but with no no9 arma/perez will struggle to live upto what everyone expects and hopes from them ! rolando is different but he plays with less pressure on the wing and isnt expected to score the goals or be the last line of defence like others are.

Understand what your saying but he doesn’t bleed them in. He gives a couple of minutes here and there then fcuks em off if they don’t perform. Imo it takes a run of games in a team to really give them a chance but as we are constantly on shocking winless runs he’s reticent to play them. He’d much rather keep being the stubborn twat thst he is and play his beloved workhorses and same system that has failed time and time again.

I think we’ve nothing left to lose tbh mate. Something needs doing other than playing sissoko and gouffran as wingers with the instructions to babysit the fullbacks.

I reckon they might suprise a few.
