Potential Huge Injury Blow For Newcastle

Some  bad news today from Newcastle manager Alan Pardew that Papiss Cisse may not be fit for  Sunday’s game against Tottenham, so if Papiss isn’t in the team – who will score the goals for the Magpies?

Papiss Cisse – doubtful for Spurs game

But it seems that Papiss didn’t train on Wednesday, and the players were given the day off yesterday, and unfortunately he is rated as being doubtful for the Tottenham game and is being checked at the moment by the Newcastle medics.

It’s a knee injury – so we hope its not the same one he fractured in April – although it must be only slight.

Maybe Alan is playing some games with Tottenham, by saying our top goalscorer – four PL goals in four appearances this season – may not make it.

It wouldn’t be the first time the Newcastle manager has played some mind games before an important game.

Paul Dummett is fit to play but no word yet on whether Manu Riviere is fit again, since he would probably be the one to play up front if Papiss cannot make the game.

And we still have to hear if Cheick Tiote is fit to play in Newcastle’s engine room on Sunday, and no word on Mike Williamson either.

We may have to rely on Gabby Obertan getting us another goal on Sunday if Papiss cannot make it.

But it could also be a good opportunity to give 21 year-old striker Ayoze Perez a run out in the second half, after his very impressive display last Saturday against Leicester.

Doesn’t that fill you with a great deal of confidence!!

Our Forwards are having a nightmare of a season so far, our “Defence” is even worse and now Tiote & Cisse likely to miss the game. I hope it is P45DUE trying to play mind games, the only problem with that is he will totally confuse himself!!

Don’t worry, they will all be fit after relegation is secured. Then they will be world beaters as they seek other clubs for new contracts. We’ll be pounding the opposition for 6 or 6 weeks no matter how hard AP tries to “coach”..
