He is disconsolate Jeff and is advocating that we drop two divisions, if it achieves his aim of getting rid of Pardew. Interesting.

    REPOST
Good win as we rode our luck. Found myself regularly shouting at TV “pass the ball” even directed at my MOM Sissoko. Is it because we don’t move off the ball well enough ? Sissoko particulaly in 1st half ran into trouble when there was a simple pass on. Do we not play 5 a side in training? With SAmeobi and Cabella on we started to move the ball around better with obvious benefits. 2 players subbed were about right although Colbeck didn’t have much of a game in 1st half either but credit for quick thinking at start of 2cnd half ( or was it a training ground move!?). Janmatt worries me at times and I don’t know what he was doing wandering around 6 yard box for their goal.

Cabelle and Perez have still not toughened up in PL to receive ball with their backs to goal and not go down expecting freekick. Didn’t get one today and consequently conceded possession whilst we were pressing up field. Not good against a Spurs side passing well.

Still without Santon, Tiote, De Jong and Cisse let alone Aarons and Riviere a good result and better to be in an upward spiral than a downward one. Perez looked better with some support from both subs in 2cnd half.

Liverpool in PL next – anyone else wishing Balotelli wasn’t waiting for a goal! We are the perfect team to play next for a player who hasn’t scored , a team without an away win or home win etc. After 2 wins and with some players hopefully back we should be looking for something from game.

Magscar, that pretty much sums it up, I am hoping for a centre half and a decent striker in January, I think with a fit squad and one or two additions we can only improve…

    @Mickalonius

If Pardew does not play him for a prolonged period of time we will never know !!

He seems to have a work ethic for winning the ball back which Shola never had but he does seem to get injured quite a lot just as he looks like doing well even when he deserves to play 4 or 5 games in a row he rarely stays injury free for that period of time !

If he is fit then he should start at the moment on merit because he is producing assists and goals

See, you’re making out that anybody not clap happy with the way things are being run isn’t a supporter, just because you have blind faith in Alan Pardew does not make you more of or a better supporter than somebody who is sick of the mans dross and drivel.

    @ Mickalonius

As long as he doesn’t hit the weights like Shola and keeps himself trim then he can be a real asset to us, whether coming on late in a game to stretch tired opposition legs or even start if he keeps producing the goods .

I have said many times that I haven’t seen someone go past players like they weren’t even there like Sammy does . He also has great skill for someone that is 6’5 .

He is also the only left winger we have on the books so letting him go would be crazy IMO.

I wonder if I`m the only one who think Pardew comes across as a very likable person in interviews. He`s honest and seldom goes for the “we should have won” bs many of his colleagues do. He gives credit to opposition like today admitting we could have been down by more goals than one by halftime.

Unfortunately fans on the anti-Pardew bandwagon give him hard time for making excuses anytime he gives his opinion on reasons the team is not succeeding. He has said a few thing better left unsaid but even those times he usually has some kind of point (like the home crowd sometimes causing restlessness).

Sammi definitely adds something that we are sorely missing – pace and the ability to take someone on down the flank. I think if he’s given a run of games he could turn good.

The other great thing to look forward to is Aarons coming back. HE was playing so well and offers that bit of pace as well so I think we may soon see a bit more usefulness on the wings. If we shift Cabella centrally he will produce more for us with the wings taken up by others.

If only Gouffy would get a rest and sort himself out a bit so that he comes back in with some purpose – he’s seemed almost lost out there for way too long now and Pardew needs to rest him and talk to him before we lose him completely.

Quite agree about CB and striker. Said a few weeks ago that I thought the Mbwia loan was part of new CB coming in which fell through but club still gambled and let loan proceed. May have been Van Diyk or even changing Forest mind about the loan back of Lascelles ( why did he get squad no?). Fan Forum notes this week confirmed something was in offing and we clearly need to do something in Jan.

On SAmeobi he has been promising for a year or 2 but has never managed a run in team and this season has to be his chance. Goufran is preferred by Pardew but he did allude in one of his interviews today to “more open play” which is where Sameobi (or Aarons) come into picture. Trouble is when he is under pressure for results he is more cautious than ever and won’t take a gamble from the off.

Will be interesting to see what happens against L’pool especially with Aarons back in traing this week but I will be surprised if Goufran doesn’t start. He did switch to right side when Sissoko moved back into CM but I don’t see Pardew doing this if Tiote is fit as Sissoko will be back on right wing.

I myself think their is a point when talking about LR32 and catchy because them two never ever seem to come on and give credit during the good result days.
RH might give the occassional bit but LR32 and catchy i’ve not seen either of them do it yet.

Made it to work. Knackered but happy.

Are the player playing for AP, Us or themselves. Does it matter?
