Second half the lads looked really up for this game. Think Pardew put a rocket up their arses!
Sissoko and Ameobi were the stand out players for me. Glad Perez got off the mark and Cabella got his first assist!
Tottenham were always going to have some chances like most teams in this league but the lads dug deep and gave everything. Hopefully we can push on now and get a few more points on the board.

If we play 90 minutes of every game like we played 2nd half of this game, lots of people would be much happier than they are at the moment!!!

Mickalonius – From last Blog Post.

I am very happy with the result, just still unhappy with the standard of football being played.

I understand everybody getting overcome with the result today… sorry, but I am thinking more long term.

Winning today is just kicking the can down the road. We are playing for places in the bottom of the table.

I know this club can do better.

Passing the ball = something other teams do.

Scoring from a player carrying the ball = something we do.

NUFC does not play football, we get by on individual moments.

i dout it’ll last too long because knowing what parjew is like we’ll soon see the return of willo and him either going 4-2-3-1 or not having the guts to drop gouffran for sammy and colback once tiote returns.

his team is likely to be

    jam__colo__willo__dum
    _____tiote__colback
    obatan___sis____gouffran
    __________cisse

bench SAMMY, PEREZ, ARRONS SAYLOR, RIV

all or most of them would be in mine whilst the bench itself would have goufran obatan colback and willo

I’ve been quietly reading through todays comments reading the same old end of the world, guessing how many goals we will be beaten by, get the owner/manager out, team selection is shocking etc crappy comments.

I hope the guys go now and win this game not just for the 3 points but as a big FCUK you to all you joke fans who constantly sorround this club with negativity

Ancient Coptic – I completely get your point. But with only one win this season and many new players to bed in not to mention some big players missing today, I think we did really well to win away at Spurs. Performances will improve with confidence. I for one am really happy, particularly as my brother supports Spurs! 😉

welshgeordie9 good weekend for you with the swans winning as well.
Look we know there are weaknesses in the squad but if you can’t take pleasure from a win like today then what is the point of supporting NUFC?

Positive, Sissoko finally played in his best position and it showed, he was mint today. Thought cabella looked alright too, still too selfish but he’s learning. And Sammy was decent. Colo and taylor is better than colo and willo as well

Brilliant result did not expect it
Give MOM to Perez as he chased everything did not give up and fully deserved his goal. Sissoko also played well.
Difference today was a lot more movement on the ball and off the ball and players with speed running at defenders.

    Onwards and upwards

Thought the first half was pathetic today and that Colback was horrible and should not be near our team sheet.

Thought Perez done exceptional well he was through in at the deep end was getting bullied for a bit vs Kaboul but he hung in there and saved our bacon.

Cabella done well to set him up but there was one point in the match we could have killed them off Perez was free all he had to do was pass but instead he shot from a tight angle trying to beat Lloris at his near post witch is pritty stupid.

We just about got by today no doubt Perez needs some more time Cabella looks like he’s starting to get the hang of things. And Colback SHOULD be replaced as soon as Tiote returns.

But none of that matters all that matters is that we got the 3 points. Sets us up nicely for liverpool. 10 points down 30 to go.

Thought 2nd half display was decent – Spurs isn’t an easy place to go and with confidence low we actually did okay – the early 2nd half goal helped a lot… Liverpool aren’t looking great and I thought they were lucky to get a home draw against Hull so who knows .. we could get 3 points – I was expecting a max of 1 point out of these 2 games so we’re already 2 ahead of my prediction – happy days

I suggest that all bloggers look back at the comments before the game – we would get beat by 7 goals, no chance, terrible team, same old negativity etc etc

Ok we didn’t play well first half but you have to give AP some credit at least for what ever was said in the dressing room and for his inspired subs.

Remember how much Spurs have spent on their team!!

It’s all about confidence, we have won two on the bounce and I am sure our young players will gain a lot from this.

We still have a long way to go but it could be a lot worse – just ask a QPR or Burnley fan!

@Keith Pardew will not get 1 bit of credit. He has a very very very long way to go before he can win the fans back. People seem to forget we have been an embarrassment of a club since last January and Pardew played a very big part in that.

    Catchy is M.I.A!

Why does he follow (not support) NUFC? His self-fulfilling prophecy is more important to him than NUFC, a very skewed sense of what it is to be a football supporter.

Considering we had major players missing, that result was astonishing.

Basically, Pardew had a better strategy than Pochettino who didn’t seem to even have the desire to change anything once we went ahead. Same tactics. Yes, they had loads of possession but not many clearcut chances. First goal was off the training ground which was particularly pleasing,

Can’t see levy giving Potts much time – Spurs were awful once we scored and were clueless, a good win although lets not forget the first 45 where we were truly awful – luckily Pards for once recognised it and made the changes and got a bit of luck

    Happy days
will be a good day tomorrow at work when I can take the p!ss out the Spuds fans 🙂

As I have said before Sammy deserves to start he was getting stuck in , winning everything in the air and gave Dier a torrid time when he came on also finally got his first goal

Cabella’s cross was a delightful one for the winner although he could have set up a 3rd which would have killed them off he looks better given a free role still got to learn to stay on his feet a bit more

How many times is Pardew going to get it wrong though at the start of a game ?? Why are we starting with 2 defensive mids every game it should be one of Colback , Tiote or Anita not 2 of them under any circumstances it allows Sissoko more space and it means we have another offensive player available

Never realised how average Spurs are for spending that much money in the end we won quite comfortably and apart from their goal they did not have any more decent chances would have been raging if us parking the bus cost us a result because they were there for the taking same with Liverpool next week they are nothing special for all that spending on players

I still think we can do better than Pardew but if we can beat City and Liverpool this week then I am willing to give him another chance lol
