Can Newcastle End Eleven Game Losing Streak?

We went back and looked over the meetings we have had with Manchester City since 2008, and we have lost our last eleven games against City in all competitions, and Newcastle play them tomorrow night at the Etihad Stadium in the Capital One Cup.

Joe Kinnear was manager the last time we didn’t lose to Manchester City

The last time we didn’t lose to City was in our relegation season in October, 2008, when we drew 2-2 after having had right back Habib Beye sent off in the first half at St. James Park.

Newcastle have won the last two league games, so it’s important we keep up our good form tomorrow night, before we face Liverpool at home in the Premier League on Saturday.

By the way, only 19.4% thought we would win the game at Tottenham on Saturday in our poll for that game – and 65.9% thought we would lose the game.

Hoping Raylor gets some game time in the cup. Quite astonishing that he never retired after the injuries he suffered. Prob not wise to put him in from the start, maybe last 30 minutes.

Would like to see Abeid come in, as well as Sammy getting a full 90 minutes. Not sure on where are injured players are at – Tiote/Cisse/Rivi – but maybe this gives the go for Arma to get some game time too.

I know what you mean about Taylor. Unfortunately he’ll never be fit enough to get into the first team after those injuries.
