Good result. MOTM for me was Abied. I thought he controlled the midfield extremely well and kept Citeh quiet. Again great result HWTL

Proud of our team tonight. Superb attitude and performance. To be fair, hats off to Pardew as well. He was brave in his selection tonight and got the tactics spot on. Hope we take this confidence into Saturday’s game. Finally, I’m feeling a bit more optimistic for the rest of this season. HWTL

where is catchy btw or is he working tonight or busy again??

seems unfortunate he’s always busy or workin when we win especially in this very baron period!?

he must have some very odd hours over there in norway 🙂

I must eat some humble pie.I have been so critical of the whole set up for some time now.
I felt tonight a sense of pride comeing back while watching a really cracking performance by the Toon tonight.
If only we can replocate this fight over the whole season things would be perfect as far as i am concerned even if we dont win any trophies.
Its not the best draw in the next round, but who knows playing away from the pressure cooker atmosphere at St James.s might be the perfect situation to be in at the moment.
Well done for putting me in a good mood again..

Just goes to show that this squad is good enough to win matches, well done pardew you can tell some people now where to shove their critism.

Well done lads, I bet all the moaners have gone to bed.

we had a bad start to the season but that could have been the follow up from the second half of last season.

i was ever as big a critic of him as some but i’m also not a fan of him either basically i just see him as the best of the rest really.
his biggest mistake seems to be plan B, recent turn arounds in games such as spurs palace and hull tell me that now he can even manage to make the required changes rather than giving up.

he shows us all that he can put out a team which will beat city he has shown a number of times recently that he can come from behind and manage to get points in the game and he has certainly got all the players behind him.

now he just needs to remain like that.

Some people on here can’t have it both ways.

Want pardew and Ashley out yet their celebrate when we score or win a match.

    You know who you are.

Not in bed yet mate, and I’m an hour ahead! ????

Nah seriously, great performance, credit to all the players and even Pardew. I begrudge it but when it’s deserved it’s deserved.

Phenomenal result, last 8. Come on, let’s give this one a go

i think abeid did well but not for the prem tbh better than anita tho but not as good as colback or tiote but certainly showed wat he’s about

ober for me was brilliant all game scored an offside goal even tho man city had 2 blatent offsides that weren’t given plus the most blatent penalty you’ll see all season

It’s funny when we lose games you can’t stop them from posting on here but when we win, you barely see their names. humble pie. Footbll fans are so fickle!!! they will still say i’ts only 2 victories and pardew out!

Totally impressed with the squad this season.
Hopefully getting it together after a shaky start.
Cisse, de Jong, tiote, santon, Anita, and krul all internationals for major countries and none started tonight, yet we still beat them.
Hope to see a lot more of Aaron’s, sammy, Armstrong and Abeid this season in place of Anita and goufran.
The young players look hungry and ready to prove a point.

Can’t believe the “Blog Bitches” are more interested in the whereabouts of certain posters (presumably to abuse them) rather than concentrating on celebrating tonights excellent performance.

Welshgeordie9 I want MA out and a better owner would likely attract a better manager but I enjoyed the endeavour shown by our players tonight and will always support the team, especially when they are playing their hearts out. I don’t see any problem with that.

the only ones i think should be considered extreme negatives are LR 32 and catchy.

even RH can give credit when it’s due and i give him great respect for showing that.

people such as transfer sage and toon prolegy haven’t shown up tonight but they most certainly aren’t the sort who moan all the time.

Maybe they all out having a pint.

i’m going off myself now for some poker.

That was a reminder of what it is to be a Geordie\Toonfan. No one expected that and we were all carried along with the team performance. I am full of pride at our team for the first time in years. After so much doom and gloom that was such a high. Won’t come down for a while as these are nights to savour whoever is our manager and owner.
Reality is for another day. Bring on League Cup show and more whiskey!!

    Abeid and obertan were immense

But for me, Raylor easily man of the match, if not for his goal line clearance at 1-0 it coulda been very different. He’s been out for 2 years but his iinclusion was seemingless. And a lot on here thought he was an average player!

I’m on here so if anyone wants to take a pop them bring it on. I have been a Toon fan for over twenty years and will be until I die. No one is going to tell me what I can and cannot think or write. That is the whole point of a free society. I can support the players but question the intentions and actions of Ashley’s regime. If you cannot get your head around that simple concept then that says more about your lack of intellect than it says about my beliefs.

    Mr

It’s easy for you to say that because you’re on the other end of it now for once but i could many times see the opposite when we get beat, the calls of “where are the pro pardew” lot now.

“Blog bitches”. then talking about abuse? your a funny man at times

That’s a very reasonable post. I’d like to say i never try to tell people what they should think or write and never would dream of doing that, all i’m saying is constant drivel about a fat man and his manager is rather boring at this stage. There’s having an opinion and there’s constantly reminding people of it.
