Can Magpies Make It Four Wins In A Row Against Liverpool?

Our next game at home to Liverpool in the early kick-off game on Saturday is only just over 36 hours away, so there’s not much time to recover from last night’s game and get ready for the next big test.

pardew at tottenham 2-1

Alan Pardew – last Sunday at Tottenham

But it will help that only four players – Daryl Janmaat, Fab Coloccini, Paul Dummett and Jack Colback – started both of our last two games, so many of the players who start on Saturday will not have played on Wednesday, or will have only played briefly.

However, with Liverpool having an extra day to recover from their Capital One Cup exploits, after they beat Swansea 2-1 at home on Tuesday night with two goals in the last four minutes of that game, it’s going to be tough test for Newcastle.

But it’s also a game we can win and get our 4th win in a row – it’s possible.

What do you think?

    Ex pat

It would be a shame if we lost him.
I’m not overally keen the way we bring the young players through, they should go out on loan earlier to progress but we seem to hang on to them until there in there early twenties.

Streete , Satka Good and Ladcalkes doesn’t sound to bad but if they don’t get a chance or run we can never asses what potential at this level they really have.

We do get the odd one who comes in and can do a job in there teens but I’d prefer the ones with the most promiss to be sent out for a year to get 1st team at a lower level. I’d look for a club that played a simar style to us, so when they came back our formation and style wasn’t alien to them.

On the weather, I’m a north easterner through and through. I like the cold, hot weather ruins me.

    Lesh,
    Tbh,
if we had more posters like Ciaran/Ruddy the blog would be better for it, bills was a good poster, as we’re a lot of people than don’t post anymore. What used to give the blog debate was pro and anti Mashley arguments, now that Mashers has become indefensible then even the fence sitters haven’t got much to say. It’s actually boring to say how much mashers is ruinine the club when you haven’t got a bills to say how good he is. TDSarf reckoned he left the blog because of the negativity, more like Mashers policies became so transparent and it was time to quit while he was thinking he was ahead?

Ruddy/Kiaron/Sharon!!!! He’s bald I was told and fat. I always viewed him from his persona on here as a con man type. I always skipped his posts because he was plain and simply football light. For all his cussed nature DarnSarf does have a good grasp of business and football. He’s a regular on other blogs.

I would like to see 4-3-3 it worked v city in the first game too where we were very unlucky.

    Krul
    Janmaat collo Taylor haidara
    Colback tiote sissoko
    Obertan Perez aarons

Gouffran played rubbish against spurs easily our worst player that day – he doesn’t look interested any more and v city and palace Aarons looks the real deal. If he starts every game this season he will get an England call up IMO.

Bench wise we have cabella ameobi and rivière who can all come on and affect the game. Not to mention de Jong and cisse out injured! Our season might end up bein ok!

Plus abeid and Anita as cover for the three midfielders – not sure how de Jong fits in to 4-3-3 though?

The early kick-off’ll help us so much.

Scousers don’t travel well – unless they’re in a police van!
