Our next game at home to Liverpool in the early kick-off game on Saturday is only just over 36 hours away, so there’s not much time to recover from last night’s game and get ready for the next big test.
Alan Pardew – last Sunday at Tottenham
But it will help that only four players – Daryl Janmaat, Fab Coloccini, Paul Dummett and Jack Colback – started both of our last two games, so many of the players who start on Saturday will not have played on Wednesday, or will have only played briefly.
However, with Liverpool having an extra day to recover from their Capital One Cup exploits, after they beat Swansea 2-1 at home on Tuesday night with two goals in the last four minutes of that game, it’s going to be tough test for Newcastle.
But it’s also a game we can win and get our 4th win in a row – it’s possible.
