anyone noticed how collo has seemed to want to header more? maybe its old age but he seems to have won 10 times the headers he used too plus was brilliant all game again especially when he had a very difficult ball and showed up 2 scouse players that very few CD could dream off! hope that’s the end of toonbrothers crusade!

we look a totally different team now with the whole squad getting used and coming in and showing wat they can do, santon, tiote and willo really need to up there game to even get a chance

motm for me was abeid but dummet the “championship player” by quite a few on here! a very close second

i fuskin love beating the scousers love it love it!!!!!!!!!

Abeid for me could grow into a better centre midfielder than cabaye. He has a similar style of play, just needs to grow in confidence. I hope he keeps getting games, he’s clearly been a missing link in the middle.

That tackle by janmaat on ballotelli though? Have it!!!

    @manx

Yeah he was doing great in that respect. Think Colo is realizing he’s lost his pace? 🙂 Just needs to use his strength and his head man and he’ll do well.

Tottenham have game in the midweek and Liverpool also. Our real test will be next game against WBA.They won’t go anywhere. The win against Leicester was more important than games against Tottenham and Liverpool(although siily that sounds) because of aforementioned reasons.Liverpool were so poor because of their thoughts on Tuesday game against Abu Dhabi.

The team is a box of tricks, Liverpool couldn’t handle the midfield.

norcal i agree i actually think he’s been affected by the injury he got when he got called up for england and then wasn’t picked last round but i think him and abeid could be a partnership for the next 5 or 6 years well without ashley selling them 🙂

Stevie McManaman was even laughing at the tackle by Janmaat on Balotelli. It was pretty blatant but comical at the same time.

    From Guardian

The camera pans to Mike Ashley. He looks like a cat who has got a life time’s supply of double cream.

Still I think Pards is the happier of them

At the match today and my nephew has been constantly going on about Colback.
I must admit I had not thought that much of him.
But today he was my man of the match. Thought Janmaat did very well. Colo was solid, Taylor still scares me stiff.

Thought the ref was very comfortable giving Liverpool decisions !

Happy with the result but with a bit of composure we could of scored more.

    @manx

Well there’s the problem. I see Mashley grinning ear to ear and I can’t tell if he’s happy for the victory or if he’s looking at Aarons and Perez and seeing £££ signs.

Perez pounced when he had the chance, Aarons really pressed hard out there and Sissoko was brilliant as was Sammy Ameobi. Our speed and inventiveness today were a class above anything else we have done this season! Bloody happy to see the change!

Extremely lucky manx, there was at least another bookable offence in there somewhere.

Can’t believe we’re one win from the top 4. Can’t believe the turnaround. And can’t believe that Pardews post match interview didn’t make me cringe or get angry in the slightest.

There’s too much positivity in my life, so I’m away to wind the wife up til she gans off it to bring me back to a level

What a game, colback MOM for me broke up everything and made great passes to counter off of, Perez showing what a great deal we got again, looks a very talented young player.

It’s great to beat the Poodles & send them home with their tails between their legs! My daughter is a Liverpoodle fan, so I get the bragging rights for a change.

So satisfying having Krul, Saylor (albeit I’ll never have complete confidence in him), Dummet, Abeid, Aarons and Sammy in the mix.

All organic products or semi-organic, if there can be such a thing, in Abeid’s case.

All downside is Ashley’s brain will be already ticking over thinking about how much potential the emerging talents have to appreciate in value.

Great result! Not the best display but played well frustrated the bin dippers limited there attacking options and moved the ball well on the counter, truth be told we could of won by 2-3 goals

Krul, made some great saves but some horrid clearances, trust your defence lad

Colo solid, back to the old Colo more and more every week atm!

Dummet was great today made Sterling completely anonymous

Taylor, decent but what was all the b0llox on the set pieces?

    Janmaat……Debuchy who?

Colback..decent game but for me not sure what his role his he’s not really an enforcer and not a link between midfield and attack, I’d like to see Abeid alongside Sissoko with Cabella in the #10 role

Abeid what a PL debut! Solid broke up everything very composed on the ball #letsgetmehditorumble

Sissoko for me took a while to get into the game today but certainly for the last 30-35 minutes he was the difference imho, just need to find the key to getting that performance for longer periods through the game

Gabby, got to feel for him final starts to look like a footballer and body gives in! Shame hopefully not too long of a lay up

Sammy, didn’t impress me today, reverted back to his old style of play and continually went down far too easily

Cisse, sorry Cisse you f**king awful today right shout to hoy you of at HT

Aarons very bright some great touches and flashes of pace, still learning but good game all in all

Cabella, still think this lad has a big future hear, in a 433 were almost custom made for him, came on got stuck in impressed perhaps tried a bit too hard and forced a few things but I’d start him next game

Perez, love this lad, bargain of the summer! Has looked exciting since he first kicked a ball for us and is turning into a great player, he’s strong he’s fast he’s got great reactions and good vision #Aintnopartylikeaperezparty

For the longest time we endured negative, defensive team selections and tactics, bizarre subs, endless excuses and oafish behaviour etc – so just what has happened to AP?

Was he really in the last chance saloon and had an 11th hour epiphany and thrown caution to the wind and just gone for it? Well whatever has happened is quite an amazing transformation.

I’m glad that people who said Pardew had nothing to work with and was a victim of Ashley can see that we do indeed have good players who are now coming to the fore and being given a chance.

Abeid, Aarons and Perez are really creating a buzz and it was great to see Abeid get m.o.m
