Great News For Jonas Gutierrez

Jonas Gutierrez has given out the good news that he has beaten cancer,  and his testicular cancer is in remission.

Jonas Gutierrez in action for Newcastle

Jonas revealed a few weeks ago that he was diagnosed with testicular cancer last year,  and he has only recently competed chemotherapy treatment, but was fit enough to run and complete the Buenos Aries marathon, and he was running for charity.

The chemotherapy treatment dramatically changed his appearances and his long hair fell out, and that was the same long hair that inspired Andy Carroll to grow his hair long once Jonas arrives six years ago.

But the treatment also seems to have worked, and there is no cancer in Jonas body – which is terrific news.

This is what Jonas tweeted:

“Today I’ve been given the all clear. Many thanks to all those who accompanied me in this moment.”

Here’s Jonas Twitter account if you want to send him a congratulatory message.

This is great news for Jonas – and of course he has shown fantastic guts and courage since he was diagnosed with the disease last year.

Is like to see Jonas come back even just for one game as a sub to applaud him and say thanks.

Imagine getting him in for the Derby, in the dressing room then in the stands with the fans.

Be a nice touch from the club, sorry just day dreaming.

Great idea and not impossible as Jonas has a squad number.

From a realistic point of view, maybe Jonas could turn out in a home friendly, next summer, as a guest if need be.

Food for thought for Mr Charnley?

Great news, such a horrible disease that effects everyone in one way or another. Id love to see jonas back, not the most gifted of players but he has allways gave his heart and soul for nufc, we could do with more players like jonas.

Really happy with for the lad, hopefully we’ll soon see him back in the black n white. He’s a decent player and offers experience.

Is this why your such a prick to everyone because of your dad being poorly? Out of anger because of a disease which im sorry to hear that your dad has. I dont think he’d be proud to hear how you go on. Jeff has no excuse he is just a vile person but you at least have a humerous side. Try and take time to think you only have one shot at life, dont take it for granted and yes this is a blog of opinions but there is no need to slate ppl like you have done in the past with that disgrace of a human in Jeff. You’re better then that. Let’s hope it all is good news for you. I’ll wipe the slate clean if your willing too.

Best news in football for a long time. Made up for Jonas.

Welsh: from one proud Welshman to another, I hope everything goes well for your father. Don’t know you, buy I’m sending my best wishes. It’s a horrible, hateful thing to have hanging over you and the people around you. I hope he gets the all clear.
