Thumbs Up – Redknapp Confident Of Doing Well At Newcastle

Newcastle have been playing very well of late – five wins in the last five games (sorry that I seem to repeat that a lot these days) –  and now we’re up against QPR at home on Saturday, and the opposition have half of Newcastle’s points total – 8 points from their 11 Premier League games.

Harry Redknapp – confident of QPR win

But that hasn’t stopped manager Harry Redknapp from coning out and saying he is confident his team can play well at Newcastle.

Harry knows Alan Pardew well, and he had this to say prior to the game on Saturday:

“They’re playing well. Alan was under a bit of pressure like a lot of us come under when you lose a few games, but he’s come through it fantastic and they’re bang in form.”

“They’re playing very well, but we’re playing well at the moment.” “The last four games we’ve played well and we certainly should have a few more points on the board than we’ve had the last four weeks.”

“We’re settling in and players are starting to find their feet at the club.” “We bought a few new players in who took time to settle.”

“We go to Newcastle in decent heart and we’re quietly confident we can go there and play well.”

Harry’s a good coach and he has done well over the last few games in getting QPR to be a decent outfit, and the players are starting to work hard for each other.

But it would be a surprise if we cannot get another win on Saturday, against the team who are second bottom of the league.

It’s a cliche but it’s also very true that no Premier League game is an easy one these days.

But of course you can never tell with Newcastle, but another win would show that the players coming in for some of our injured stars can get the job done this season.

And that has to be a positive thing.

anybody seen this on sky Newcastle winger Jonas Gutierrez has claimed Magpies boss Alan Pardew told him to find a new club after the 31-year-old was diagnosed with cancer.

I did read your post properly and was trying to offer some friendly advice on how to deal with the cretins on here.

Have you thought that the insults thrown your way is just their tactic of winding you up for their own amusement and the way to deal with them is to totally ignore then?

There are more than enough decent posters on this site who are happy to discuss footballing matters sensibly and who also value your opinions.

Unless it has been on this morning it is very old news and was definitely taken the wrong way.

Thank you for the advice but asking me if I am a man or a mouse didn’t come across as friendly but implied that I was someone who ran off and told tales. The multiple poster in question made the blog impossible to use and had so many different user names all with abusive insults that it could not be ignored. Abuse does not bother me expat, this is a blog where only a handful of people who use and read it know who I am, what does bother me though is when because of a persistent troll(s) other people stop using the blog and therefore giving people like welsh geordie the blog to himself, I complained because of this and not for personal abuse.
My apologies, this is all over this mornings papers, I wonder if Pardew will be allowed from the PR macvhine to give an explanation in time for todays presser, that Bishop guy must be charging a few quid.

I could have phrased it better tbh.

As they say, dont let the barstewards grind you down.

It would appear welshie has learned his lesson.

As for the Guti situation. I doubt we will ever know the full truth on this matter. They never tell us anything anyway.
