Official Club Statement On Ryan Taylor – Hoping For The Best

Newcastle United have just issued a statement on Ryan Taylor – after he had to leave the game today with an injury to his right knee – but we will not know how bad the injury is until he gets a scan – but we are all hoping for the best.

Here’s the Newcastle statement that has just been issued:

“Ryan will be scanned as soon as possible and we’ll know more then.” “The thoughts of myself and all the players are with him.”after the game this is what Alan Pardew told BBC Sport:

After the game this is what Alan Pardew told BBC Sport:

“I think we will know about Ryan Taylor in the next two or three hours. We are hoping it’s just a scare,” he told BBC Sport. “But today is tinged with sadness with Ryan’s injury and we are sweating on the scan.”

Heres Ryan’s Twitter account if you want to send him a message of encouragement.

We are all hoping for the best for the 30 year-old and it will be simply tragic, if the brave Liverpudlian is out again with a long term injury.

Newcastle United, still have Santon, Coloccini, Saylor, Riviere, Obertan, Arrons, Abied, Tiote, De jong to come back into the team!

I don’t usually get soppy about the players. But I really felt for Ryan when he came off. I hope it’s not another season & potential career ender.

It is mad when you think how many players we have to come back in and make a difference and possibly even improve us. We have a better squad than given credit for, usually because we have constant injuries so we never benefit from such depth in terms of competition for places.

To some extent the squad is showing that it is quite capable and there are still loan and injured players to come in. It would seem that rather than buying a number of players cheaply they could spend on a single quality player. IMO any January buys will be because of a desperate need to fill a certain position due to injuries.

December is going to be tough and I think AP is already getting ready to throw away the league cup using the reserves that have still yet to make an appearance, such as Vukic, Bigi, Chucky. If it was not necessary this would be a real shame as an appearance in a cup final would show that there is an ambition to see the team grow, both in the quality of performances and squad players.

Once all the sick notes are back, Santon, Coloccini, Saylor, Riviere, Obertan, Arrons, Abied, Tiote and De Jong, Newcastle, will have a decent sub bench!

Most pleasing aspect for me is yet another clean sheet. Is that four in a row or something? Credit to Pardew for that tbf. I just wish tight arse Ashley had invested in a CB in the Summer as I worry all these injuries will result in the same pattern as last season when we blew up completely after Christmas. Hope not and enjoying the run while it lasts. How did Gouffran play when he came on? I heard he put in some good crosses.

I hope Callum Roberts enjoyed being 19th man for the 1st team experience. I spotted him as a waterboy. Great for a 17 year old .Siem de Jong and Davide Santon close to comebacks , so , no need to spend this January

Gouffy got involved but didn’t do anything really good or anything really bad. When he got moved to right wing he missed tracking back once and then was swapped to the other wing when Hoillet came on.

Worried for Ryan – best of luck to him, the team went through a rough patch after he went off, which highlighted his contribution until then. However they showed the character to dig in second half and grab all 3 points. 4th is a delight.

Cheers 70TWO. I think the jury is very much still out on him. Paul Dummet seems to be a revalation at CB. How did Hadaira play? He seems to finally be getting more game time of late.

Hadaira kept defensive shape, wasn’t really challenged by a winger. He provided support going forward but I noticed in the games he has played he can not cross successfully.

Buzzing for the result today the most pleasing aspect of our play today was the desire to win the ball back by everyone means if you are not playing well you are still making it difficult which is what Chelsea do well as a lot of games they have not been great but have costa and hazard to score wonder goals but they make sure other teams cant get at their defence

Thought when gouffran came on he looked like he could not be bothered at all but played better when switched too right wing which Is where he should play but he should only be a squad player really

Impressed with Sammy sissoko and colback never gave up and what a great team goal which we seem to score those goals every game as well at the moment

Perez looked better when brought back when cisse came on he was able to run at defenders west ham will be tough

Toon played ok today – QPR poor – Men of the Match – Williamson and Dummett outstanding at the centre of defence, full backs Jammaat and Hiadara played well but did not get forward much today. taylor was playing well before had to go off – hope he is ok. Taylor’s going off disrupted the team with Sissoko becoming defensive midfielder. Cabella ok but gets knocked off the ball to easy. Sammi – bloody enigma great at times then gives the ball away – to many tricks today. Goufran did ok when came on – Krul nowt to do but his kicking was shocking today – better team would of punished him.Perez ran his heart out got great movement if not a tad light – maybe should of scored second half.

I strongly believe that our good results are based on physicality that can be decreased with every new game. That physicality probably came from BAD games and hard trainings before this excellent run.But our game is average. The results are satisfying but our play and players positions are average. In other words :we can’t base always on physicality because that is very dynamic thing.Everybody knows that results are great but something is unsure.Time will tell. And we are still not that far from the relegation zone.

What people are forgetting is that we have 12 people out injured and we were also left short HBA . Mbiwa and a Remy replacement because Ashley would not spend the money and we are playing some nice football and battling for every ball which is pretty much all you can ask for

I think once Cabella gets properly used to the premiership I think that he will be the difference in a lot of games we need him to start producing although Sammy , Perez and Sissoko are producing at the moment

Imagine if we did have a proper striker like Remy or Ba leading the line ?
