Moussa Sissoko – after scoring the winner today

Here is Alan Pardew’s interview with NBC Sports today after the game – and Alan Pardew said he was so proud of the younger players today, and he expects some senior players back for next weekend’s game at West Ham.

That’s good – if they can back in. 😀

Meant to be around 11 pm for the main event.

Heck of an under card though, the lesser fights are now on, decent stuff from half 9 onwards

As for today’s game….very very good.

Missing a few players who have turned our season around recently and we still carried on the good form.

It’s exactly what we have all been screaming for…pace, power, passing, solid shape, attacking, closing down high up the field….I don’t see how anyone can’t have enjoyed the recent performances even if they do want to see more before being convinced on Pardew.

The games themselves have been very exciting.

brilliant performances which again imo has shut up the usualls on here but it shows that fans do like to moan since its dead lol

I personally like to comment as I see it and quite like it when players, managers, etc can change my mind on them. I always found football strange as once somebody is deemed poor then they are written off forever.

I play a lot of cricket and in that sport you see from amateur to professional level that people can go away over the off season and see drastic improvements.

I think obertan has done that a little and it’s nice to see. He still has flaws but he has managed to use his he attributes he does have to a greater effect.

normally when my team is in such great form i would be in a very happy mood, tonight is a different story.

The reason; Raylor gets another injury, he might not be a player i’d not have in the starting 11 of a fully fit squad but still he, like jonas, is a great player to have in the dressing room.

also here is a bit of news for catchy and LR32, newscastle will soon have games that end in defeat (chelsea, arsenal unitedand maybe spurs), then you glory hunters (or mackems!) can start doing your trolling again. Until then just enjoy the wins or stick to fifa.

I’d also say that a good month doesn’t make Pardew world class and it doesn’t make people wrong for questioning him over the past year or two as the record has been very poor but the way we are winning shows he has changed in my opinion.

More young players, higher tempo, closing down up the field, playing people on form not reputation. Obviously he needs to continue this and keep it up but the signs are good.

sage aye but its a nice change on here now since before it was pure negs on constantly

the fact it shows it wasn’t “just the manager” says alot and thats wat annoyed me the most tbh

the players have stepped up including the youngsters and confidence in sport has also shown how unbelievably important it actually is

Transfer & Manxpie – I was at the game today and to be honest I didn’t think it was that good a game. QPR were poor and we were a bit better but not great and missed several good chances. We definitely deserved the win and I’m delighted with it but as I say not the greatest of games.

i think this summer was the final straw, pardew himself knows their is little chance of him getting the most important player required during transfer windows.

during the start of the season nobody expected southampton to be 2nd, so if southampton can do it why can’t newcastle?
What he then decides to do is tell the fans “stop giving so much critism to the likes of obatan, sammy and dummett” and also tells the likes of sammy and obatan “they’re on their final chance” so without critism from fans and both now knowing they will have a chance of starting, we have seen pardew doing rotating, youngsters getting chances and seniors needing to prove themselves worth of a place.

at the minute it looks alot like last season, my concern is again the january transfer window, if we see a key figure sold, we’ll see another team that is angered and more desperate of individual form than team form, basically just want to remain fit and attractive to other teams rather than assist an unabitious club.

We’ve had some luck and gone on an astonishing run that builds its own confidence and momentum, best of all the young players will have come on immeasurably. We need that good fortune to continue with an injury free run now. If we could get a full compliment up and running injury free then the top four is wide open this year, even for us, with our new young side.
