It’s very hard to accuse Alan Pardew and our Newcastle players of not bring confident at the moment, and we have not only won our last six games, but the lads have started to play very well, and our defense has looked very solid – and that’s a big change for the better.
Moussa Sissoko after scoring the winner on Saturday against QPR
Moussa Sissoko was captain last Saturday and he’s been in the best form of his Newcastle career so far this season, and the French International has said Newcastle are confident and will go for the 3 points at Upton Park on Saturday:
“Maybe, it is true that at the moment I’m playing well and happy.”
“I will try to continue like this and if we can finish in the top eight it would be good for me and the team – it is too early to say whether we can finish fifth or sixth or seventh.”
“We will just try to get a lot of points and in the second part of the season, we will see where we can finish.”
“I’m not a striker, but I want to score between seven and 10 goals,” “It was my first goal in the league, and I’m very happy for that.”
“I will try to work hard every day. If we can win every game, and if I can score, I will be happy for that.” “West Ham are playing well,”
“It will be a hard game, but we are confident.” “We go to West Ham try to get the three points.”
We won this fixture 3-1 at Upton Park in January and it was a final great performance from French play-maker Yohan Cabaye, who scored two great goals in his very last appearance for Newcastle United before he moved to PSG for £20M.
Loic Remy scored the other goal and Loic basically refused to join Newcastle permanently in the summer, and is now at Chelsea, who took Roberto Di Matteo’s Schalke 04 apart 5-0 in Germany on Tuesday night in the Champions League.
But Newcastle are now playing as well as we did a year ago when we still had Cabaye and Remy in the side.
We are hoping we can get the win at Upton Park on Saturday, which reminds me – I must have those blood pressure pills close by for Saturday. 😀

Comment #41I’d be over the moon if their injured players didn’t make it back in time.
May well give us the morale boosing incentive to really go for a win.
Couldn’t give a monkey’s if Downing is back, just as long as their forwards don’t make it.

Comment #42Looks like a lot of war, arguments and fighting gone around in the past 3yrs or so in this blog
I believe the majority should be towards the owner. No wonder some juorno talk about the patience of nufc fans, that even if we haven’t won anything since 55? or so,fans still love and give support lately.B/c the future looks bright for Newcastle,we have to hope and can give a real go to the league cup this season.
It’s great opportunity, esp if we enter the SF..
As we deserve sthg in zis superb run of form!

Comment #43Hooper was awful. A terrible keeper. I remember one game at home to Spuds where Pav was sent off.
Pen to Spuds and Klinsmann is waiting to take it.
On runs Hoops having not warmed up.
Straight between the sticks still putting his gloves on.
Klinsmann takes the pen, blasting it straight down the middle.
Hooper simly stands on the spot in the middle of the goal and falls to one side, the ball hitting him on the feet and rebounding to safety.
Superhooper was the chant.
Nonsense, lazy bugger just fell over.

Comment #44Just touching on some earlier points, somebody earlier mentioned Hislop as our most complete keeper, good shot stopper, bit hessitant at times, didn’t deal with set pieces well. Overall, good keeper. Pav, great shot stopper, terrified of crosses, sometimes fell into a flap. Decent keeper, but should have been replaced by Hislop sooner in my opinion.

Comment #45It,s been a complete turnaround in Toons fortunes lately.
Cant believe its the same man getting all the plaudits on here, that was overseeing such a dismal run since the year started.
The same man who has previously broken all the wrong records at our club.
Hope it all continues, but i wont hold my breath.
Still expect things to go tits up for one reason or another.
We get used to it following our beloved Toon.

Should have a decent amount of choice within the £350 price range.
Only thing I would say is don’t buy HP. Their lower end laptops have trouble with over heating and charging from my past experience.

Posted by tequilamag earlier and trending everywhere but on the blog. Uefa confirms Rangers and Newcastle will never be allowed to compete in Europe together, even if one is in the Champions’ League and the other is in the Europa League. Edwards reckons it will cause “fury on Tyneside.” I think it will lead to more “so what?” shrugging.

Comment #56Could be a very different game against Hammers.
Everyone we’ve played on this run is generally pretty decent in possession. I know QPR are struggling but they can still zip the ball around when they want.
With teams like that, we’ve sat back, soaked up the pressure and countered largely with Socks being a bettering ram but I think West Ham play very much the same.
I dont think the game will be decided by the strikers. It’ll be the midfield battle. We’re both capable of scrapping in the middle so It may be best to try and keep a bit of possession this time round.
Still think our wingers can trouble their full backs. I see that as West Hams weakness. Either that or try and get at Song, he’ll get himself sent off if he gets frustrated.

Leap frog is a manufacturer of childrens electronic toys so unless you require a “pretend” laptop I’d steer well clear.
Obviously the person responsible for recommending them to your good self found it highly amusing to try and “dupe” you.
Sony or Packard Bell are always ok for me. With that price range you should be able to get a decent one just make sure it’s got sufficient storage as this is one of the main causes of slow performance. 4-8 gb of ram should do the trick and these usually come with a fair sized hard drive ranging from 200-600gb.
I’d suggest looking after 12PM tonight or first thing in the morning as it’s black Friday tomorrow mate. A craze from the states where most big shops have half price electricals ie asda, curry’s, sainsburys and loads more.
Some really good deals to be had but you’ve gotta be quick. Well worth a gander though.

Comment #59On the subject of goalies, what about that brilliant servant of the club Harper. He sat on that bench season in season out under Given, and when, occasionally, he was called upon, never once let us down.
