Alan Pardew has Newcastle playing total football with every player knowing what his job is, and they all work very hard to make it difficult for the opposition.
Pardew congratulates Perez on Saturday
And even with the strikers they have a role to play and for instance Ayoze Perez works his socks off for Newcastle when he is in the team.
And even last Saturday at home to QPR, when Ayoze failed to make it a goal in each of his last four Premier League games, Alan Pardew is pleased with the rapid progress the Spanish youngster is making on Tyneside:
“Ayo was a threat all day. You can’t take your eye off him. He excites you and he excites the crowd.” “That’s traditional at Newcastle.”
“The discipline of the back four, the midfield and the strikers to defend, is getting us where we want to be. We keep nicking a goal, and then we might nick a second and the game’s over.”
And Newcastle can only play the way they have played over the last two months if they are super fit, and because of the intensity of the training, we have suffered a number of injuries over the past few weeks.
But the good news is that Fab Coloccini, Steven Taylor, Cheick Tiote and Manu Riviere are all back in training this week.
The impressive 18 year-old Rolando Aarons should start training next week and Ryan Taylor’s knee injury is not as bad as first thought and he is said to be only two or three weeks away from returning to the training field.
And Siem de Jong revealed he had his first outdoor training session this week too, after being out injured with a torn thigh muscle since early September.
It’s all good news for Newcastle United at the moment.
We love it!

Comment #1Sazzer, from previous. I dont understand the point you are trying to make. The Press had their views, in one direction, some weeks / months ago. Now they have changed their opinion 180 degrees. Surely you aint shocked by that? Its what they do all the time. They change their minds more often than women. Its an impossible task to keep up lol.

No desire to have anything to do with the plums on here. I actually play those sorts of expectations to my advantage. Always changing my mind, never knowing what I want.
We always know what we want, just letting you lot think otherwise usually helps us get it. Lol

Firstly, I think it is Pardew’s attempts at mind games before the game trying to put doubts in Carroll’s mind.
Secondly WHU would want somewhere around 15 million quid for him and that us stupid money fir an injury prone goal less striker. Ashley isnt stupid.

Firstly lets not forget that newspapers are predominantly bullsh@t.
All this Pardew says, Pardew thinks. He 9/10 times hasn’t. There’s people in room just making this shite up for something to write.
Spot on about MA. A lot of things he may be Stupid is certainly not one of them

Comment #15Tim Healy was in it too. He was at the unveiling of a statue couple of years back commemorating the win. The cup itself was nicked from the Workmens club in the nineties so now they’ve got a replica.

Tough game but depending on who he picks. I think it will be the same team as last week with Tiote in for Raylor.
I am going for a 1-1 draw. I actually think Burnley away on tuesday is harder and a potential banana skin.

Comment #40That stuff about Ashley failing to do due diligence and getting lumbered with the debt on top of the asking price fair reeks. I don’t believe it and never will. He may have made a hasty decision and therefore made an error of judgement, perhaps one he came to regret. Even that I doubt, but certainly not an uninformed one. I’ve never seen or read anything concrete to the contrary. I think its a myth he allows to be perpetuated to make murky the waters regarding his less than charitable behaviors.
