Chelsea manager takes his team to Newcastle tomorrow, and he’s never won at St James’ Park, and he will be trying hard to change that stat by 2:45 tomorrow afternoon, in a game that is being shown live around the world.
Jose Mourinho – Newcastle play other teams like they are playing friendlies
Jose has also never won at Villa Park, and it’s not that Newcastle or Aston Villa have been good sides since Jose has been managing Chelsea.
And what Jose has said today will only help our players be even more determined to get something out of this match tomorrow:
“It’s difficult, a difficult stadium to play at. There are a few stadiums in this country where, clearly, when they see the Chelsea shirts, they play the game of their lives.”
“When they play against other teams they look like they’re playing friendlies. Maybe this is because Chelsea, in the last decade, became a strong team that everybody wants to beat.”
“Watch matches on TV and make your own analysis… or disagree with me.” “It makes us feel how big we are,” Mourinho said. “For me, that’s not a problem.”
“We played well there last season but missed so many chances. We lost other matches last season where we clearly did nothing to win: against Crystal Palace, we did nothing to win. Newcastle was not one of those matches.”
That second paragraph is uncalled for, and certainly in our six game winning streak it didn’t look like we were playing too many friendlies, and we also had a very young side that won at Manchester City.
But Jose has never been modest or a wallflower – and he has always made some daft and controversial statements in his press conferences, and he will not change.
But he seemed to go out of his way today to be awkward at his press conference – and he was giving one word answers to some questions – and he even refused to talk about Sir Bobby Robson – saying he had said many times before how Bobby was good to him and that he loved the man.
Not sure what that was all about today – or even if Jose knows what it was about – and journalists asked him a few times why he seemed in such a bad mood.
That comment about playing friendlies should only help our players – and tremendous determination and a never say die attitude can get some shock results.

You lads are deluded if you think pardew improved Ba, Cisse, Sissoko, Remy etc
Ba was scoring for fun at WH, he also had his worst goalless streak playing for us as did Remy and Cisse

Comment #2Our Toon, I gotta disagree. Remy and Ba both had a higher goals to games ratio for us than any other club, you can’t judge Ba from his west ham form, he only played like 10 games. And he went on a dry spell because Cisse was scoring left right and center so he had to play on the wing (those two cant play together up top) regarding sissoko, I would have agreed with you if this was last season, but this season I have completely changed my mind about him, hes a TANK!! So yes, pardew had made these guys better, dont let your hatred of pardew cloud your judgement

Comment #3Jose has never spoken much of the SBR… All I remember is that he was more impressed with Van Gaal and the tactics that he had learned instead of SBR,.
Unappreciated,… it would be easy to think that mourinho thinks greatly of the NE, yet he doesn’t…one day when mourinho wants to really prove him self… he will come to the NE and show that he can motivate and team like porto with limited funds… It is just so easy to sit back and win with chelsea
I always thought he had some respect for the NE and SBR but he doesnt and i hope it haunts him when most needed.

Our toon, there’s a difference between delusion and difference of opinion, why you haters can’t see that is the reason you’re haters. Not that I’m happy at all with our situation.
