Blaming the “Ball-boys” for hiding the ball, not returning the ball, then throwing 2 balls on the pitch – surely there must be something else to blame for the result as well??

Maybe a great team performance by NUFC, 2 good goals from Cisse
but hey, lets not mention those eh!!

Sore looser. Pardew out did him today with how he set the team up and managed us throughout the game.

I’ve been defending tiote but he had a lesser game than the team and colback was insane.

Chelsea out battled by the psychological musings of their own boss, played right into our hands. it’s come at a cost with injuries and suspensions this great win may prove expensive over the coming weeks.

Colback I don’t rate as anything extraordinary but in this game he was the perfect lynchpin, easily my MoM today. Colo deservedly up there (where is toonbotherer now?) but for me Perez, Janmaat, Dummet and yes even Saylor should be right up there before Cisse, who I was pleased for as he looks back to his sharp previous self. Chelsea Killer.

Tiote was off pace and that shocking cross field giveaway said it all. Ease off the Cristal, Cheick.

First game I can truly say I enjoyed and the incredible 6 minute gift to Mourinho made for time-stopping anxiety, but actually fun to watch for a change. Doesn’t change my view on Pards though but if he carves a niche out by getting wins from all out siege methods I’ll take it, providing the squad doesn’t end up devoid of first team players by the end of the season and we tumble down to the lower end.

    My player by player assessment.

Elliott – looked shaky and was clearly struggling. But made some saves to keep us in it.
Janmaat- better than debuchy. Smarter player. Showing signs of a complete full back. Can attack and defend in equal measure
Colo- will never understand his critics. One of the best readers of the game. Had costa in his pocket.
Saylor- yes made some mistakes but he also defended like a beast. If he can stay fit he should be third choice cb for England because he is a warrior when he gets a good run out.
Dummet – definitely a cb. Hoofs it as much as willow but he coped well with hazard so credit to him as a young player still learning his trade.

Willo- no comment he did his job.

Ameobi- tough against invanovic. Still think he is a class dribbler if he can add more to his game in crosses and shots hell be alright. He does look better with each game to me. And an assist to bag.

Cabella- fairly anonymous lets move on and give him anther chance at arsenal
Colback- BEAST. Excellent positional ly. Harried, pressured and created and should have scored. Probably the best on the field by a milimeter.
Tiote- I’ve defended him all week and I stand by what I said but he was a bit sloppy today with giving the ball away. He did look after it well at times too. Inconsistent game but with abeid out I don’t think there was a player that could dine better in his role today.

Socks- ran and helped move the team up the pitch. Dcent all around.

Perez- very good. Struggled a bit first half but he was up against very good opposition. This guy has ability and can take a man on and plays for the team. He was brilliant after cisse came on he tracked his wingers excellently and we certainly looked better defending on the right with him and janmaat than the left.

Cisse- is he back. 2 chances, 2 goals. He ran his legs off today and was a game changer for us.

Alnwick- thrown in at the deep end. Clattered costa so he wins points immediately and coped well with the pressure. Made some very vital saves. Lets get him a loan and make sure we keep hold of him.

Jose is just winding the media up as usual. I really wouldn’t read too much into it. He says things like this all the time, and then sits back and laughs. Generally i like the bloke, even if he is trying to wind us up over this game.

What the hell is mourinho talking about? When did the ball boys hide the ball? Was I at the same match? The ball went into the crowd at about 80 odd mins and some people kept the ball…. Why didn’t he mention drogba or terry trying to put pressure on the ref for accusing Alnwick of time wasting? PROBLEM IS MOURINHO IS A VERY BAD LOSER AND HE HAS TO BLAME BALL BOYS FOR A DEFEAT…. Do me a favour!!!!!!!!!!!!!

really it sums up that pardews comments post match when we lose is no different to most managers, ferguson always blamed his losses on bad refereeing, arsene always faults the opposition and morineo blames ball boys. really it’s what most managers do because they don’t want to give owners easy reason of sacking them.

when looking at the amount of shocks being made in the premier league now it prove that a loss can happen in any away game and a draw can happen in any home game.

newcastle vs palace everyone would be screaming in anger if a 0-0 draw came but spurs are certainly a just as good if not better team, liverpool 0-0 scums again no way would we accept a draw but liverpool are meant to be a better team than us, finally stoke 3-2 arsenal again nobody here would likely take this loss but arenal are certainly a better team than us.

times like the second half of last season are understandible complaints but the draw against burnley and the loss away to west ham i see as nothing more than a simpular result to the ones that arsenal, liverpool and spurs all got today.

Nasty little man Mourinho – trying to blame ball boys to deflect from his own inadequacies. That’s the mark of a bully and the FA should charge him for bringing the game into disrespect. It was his own players who blasted the ball into the crowd so blame them. As for Grogba he was moaning like a spoilt brat and always at the referee – why wasn’t he booked for that or for prattling around the keeper and waving his hands like he’s on the X Factor – Taylor gets booked for those sort of actions so why not Drogba? Their free kick that led to their goal was taken yards from where the foul was given – funny that Mourinho doesn’t think anything odd about that. And nearly 8 minutes of extra time ? The FA needs to check out the ref, Mourinho and Drogba. Doubt it somehow.

Can i just say…GET IN!!!!!!!! Feeling greedy and a win against the mackems will be the chunk of cheese on the Christmas cake plate… a Merry Christmas toon fans!!??! Too deliriously happy to analyse the ins and outs of the game yet…that’ll come tomorrow onwards. Hope EVERYONE can perhaps see the positives of this game and result and everyone get right behind the club. Lets face it, this could, and I emphasise could, be the best season for many a year? Think of how everyone was looking at December with dread. It seems a bit better now… Keep it up bonny lads!

Cracking game! After the red card it felt like the game would never end, but then again so f*** awesome to get the 3 points.

At emirates, don’t let Sanchez get space and we might sneak a win.

Brilliant results in other matches too, this game was the most exciting all year, it had everything. HWTL

Thought we were immense today. Pardew’s team is set up perfectly to play against better opposition (organised, pressing, lots of pace), but I didn’t expect that. I actually thought that apart from first 20mins and then until Saylor lost his head (AGAIN!!) we were the better team.
Cisse – hmmm, well done on goals but seemed a bit lazy and not really pressing at the end when he should have been one of the freshest on the pitch…
    Colo – brilliant
    Colback -immense
Sissoko – brilliant (better than Cabaye on today’s performance for me)
    Saylor – muppet
    Perez – great again
Pardew – great tactics and subs (again). Had them up for it.

story in the chronicle reporting another bust up between manager and HBA, if we do see him return i hope to god that the fans don’t start screaming HBA during games because that will be another way of saying “we aren’t bothered about you lot we just like HBA”

Arsenal will be tough to be at home. I know the 4-3-3 has been successful but without sissoko in the middle I think we let Perez and Cisse play together up top. Also I think Dummett moves inside over Willo.

Disagree with a few on here. I thought Taylor had a great game.
He was our rock at the back and he’s very composed on the ball.
The sending off cane from a good interception by him but then the ball got away from him causing him to make a lunge. No blame in him from my part, he was immense today.

Brilliant result with everyone playing well especially colback, janmaat, colo and Taylor.

    Good game.

Stood off them a bit to much first half, Cisse on was what the game was screaming for we’d already had half a dozen decent balls into box and no one near.

Good game plan by the manager and sub at right time, good display from a lot of our players. Can’t even knock saylors red, shame with Sissoko to think he misses arsenal to.

Got the 2-1 my heart said and the good game I’d asked for, very happy.

I said a month ago we could have a good December despite the fixtures, today just makes me beleive it more!

Harley. Fair point, maybe Saylor did have a good game, even a great one until he got sent off, but that just isn’t good enough. He’s basically given them a massive chance to get back into a game we’d won. There’s just no excuse for it and it happens time and again (Man City last year?). He just doesn’t seem to be bright enough.
