The following policies should be taken into consideration before commenting:
An update on my health situation - we have terminated the PluVicto treatment halfway through, because of the severity of the side effects - diarrhea, vomiting, and acid reflux.
And there was no evidence the treatment was having any positive effect in stopping the prostate cancer from spreading in the bones.
There are no treatments left for me to go on.I will go into home hospice care now and will have a hospice nurse visit me at home regularly to ensure I am as comfortable as possible and we will treat the side effects of the treatments I have had.
It's down the final stretch now, and I have run out of treatments, and nature will now take its course.
I hope Newcastle can get many wins this season from now on, and I am at peace with all of this.
Thanks for all your help through the years - it's very much appreciated

it’s definitely a nice problem to have now dummet had proved he can handle the cb position. I’d still have Taylor as first choice due to his strength. However I’d not be that fussed if he made way for dummet.
We’re looking really strong all over at the minute except striking options.

i’m thinking we might be better off playing a secondry team against arsenal and keep most of the starting 11 for that game against spurs midweek, 5 games in 2 weeks all against very difficult opposition, out of them all i would like a win against spurs and sunderland more than i would any other game and as they both come the very week after the arsenal game i would just preserve the players for them and use a few youth.

Comment #46That midfield of Tiote, Colback and Sissoko is great by the way (I know you all know that). A match for anyone when we can get them all on the park at the same time and on their game. If we can get the firepower around them we really could be onto something. Would love Cabella, Sammy and Perez to live up to their potential. Exciting stuff.

Would play Abeid over him in a heartbeat .

Comment #48Get us a dominant CB so Willo can be moved on Scroogely. Also a striker with Prem experience and a right winger. Then we push for top 6 instead of bouncing up and down the table like a table tennis ball.

Comment #50Pardew’s post match conference was great.
I noticed when Sissoko got sent off against West Ham, Pardew put his hand out when Sissoko was coming off the pitch; supporting his player in front of the cameras. Pardew seems like the positive reinforcement type, which I believe is the correct way to go about man-management.
From wanting him sacked not so long ago, I have been impressed by not only his turnaround, but the way he has remained dignified under intense pressure.

i’m thinking them 3 positons are now all we need to get that quality team needed for top6 but maybe we don’t have to get that quality striker because as long as cisse gets those decent crosses in the box from our wingers he should be able to score the goals for us, he had a bad season last year but we didn’t want obatan or sammy instead we wanted HBA and would gert angered if sammy and obatan were starting so he was left having to use sissoko and gouffran out of position but now we have got an upcoming winger and are accepting pardew’s decision on starting sammy and obatan so cisse is getting the service and now tells us it’s just a winger and CB we miss.

Comment #54Oh dear. Win lose or draw some people here are still too hung up on getting bragging rights over others. Told-u-so types are taking over. Things are by no means perfect, nor are they all doom and gloom. Lets enjoy the current run and try to be balanced. I still think pardew has a chance of reverting to negativity, but i wont moan about it unless he actually does, for more than a one off game.

Comment #55Colback, Tiote and Sissoko might not be individually brilliant every game but what they do in every game is work their socks off.
Compare that to Cabaye who had one brilliant game in every six and often went missing for long periods in the other five. I said exactly this same thing on this blog when he was here. Thats why he isn’t getting any regular games at PSG.
When Cabaye was here if he didn’t play well and/or HBA wasn’t producing one of his rare worldy displays we were often a walk over.
This squad has no prima donna’s instead we have players who work their balls off and don’t sulk when they aren’t in the team.
Cabaye and HBA can stay well away from SJP for me.

Comment #61So Chelsea lost because of the ball boys? Silly me, I thought it was because we scored more goals than them. Ref was appalling – Terry and Cahill got away with wresting or pushing our forwards in the back all game. Steven Taylor was doing well until that stupid rush of blood for his second booking – can’t complain about that decision – but 6 minutes of extra time???
Great game, great atmosphere, lots of super performances – Colback, Janmaat, Collocini, Dummett, Sissoko etc but the revelation for me continues to be Perez – for a young guy just learning about the Premier League and playing against 2 England centre-backs I thought he showed some great touches, played well on the right when Cisse came on and supported the defence terrifically towards the end.

Comment #62I was at the game two seasons ago when we won 3-2 and the atmosphere was electric, I can imagine it was more of the same today, brilliant result, I had us down for a draw but thought we could nick something, I listened to the game on the radio as I was working in the garden, much more preferable than a shite stream.

Comment #65Can’t help thinking that Gomis would have been a great addition to our squad. I reckon Swansea signed him because they thought Bony would go but now they have two players with very similar styles.
Bringing Gomis off the bench when we are defending a lead to hold the ball up and give our defenders an outlet for clearing balls under pressure would have been a great option.
We could do with that type of CF in Jan.

Comment #67Not sure what the best result is for the toon in the wham swans game tomorrow. A draw or swans win puts them above us, but a wham win moves them further ahead. Probably take a draw because at least we end up on level points with swans, only behind on GD.

Pardew is short sighted. When not wearing glasses he wears contact lenses.
It was good to hear sections of the crowd singing at the end of the game “Walking in a Pardew wonderland”
A great performance by the team and the acknowledgement from Rotonda.
