Colback and Perez signed for free and the other under 2 million ? Thats insane scouting and value !

I remember people saying at the start of the season saying Colback was a Pardew signing and will be terrible …

BT Sports made Collo their MOM!!

Perez was outstanding, but to me, Colback was immense – he was everywhere.

Watching Stoke versus Arsenal Stoke totally dominating them with passing football and high pressing

We can get a result against them although Sissoko is suspended

    dazzler couldn’t agree more

wat a game, that’s wat the prem is all about

colback was immense and shows people who doubt wat he he does for the team that he is a very important part of the midfield plus he gets clattered and just gets up every time

perez was again fantastic must have ran twice the ammount of any other player

collo was immense aswell as was saylor but was unlucky with the sending off he was full on all game which helped us throughout and was unfortunate

the part that pleases me most in recent weeks though is the shape of the team, whoever comes in we have a very strong shape that is hard to break down but also has a very real threat

cant wait to hear mourinhios interview

@Toon-Prodigy Still not sure about Sammy who has benched Gouffran and Cabella this season but you’re sure about Colback?
    Talk about double standards!
Sammy has been SUPERB this season in terms of Tracking back, Providiing Assists & scoring Goals
Thats why he has started 6 games in a row!
In my view he has been the revelation of the season

    Michael Owen is a retard
Colocinni wasn’t even the best defender let alone the best player on the pitch
He did ok today don’t get me wrong but never MOTM
MOTM is between Cisse, Sammy and Colback.
Dummett and Janmaat did more today than Colocinni

Also how amazing was it to have Dummett , Saylor , Sammy and Alnwick on the pitch at the same time ? Youth team products coming out on top against the millionaire signings of Chelsea

I cannot actually pick a motm. Too many great performances.

Perez was quality in defence and attack.

Cisse looks back to his best.

    Colback insane.

Even Taylor despite sending off was great.

Very proud of my team today. And we did it by playing proper football. Had to park the bus at the end. But Pards managed the game excellently and needs credit for today regardless of what people think.

Very difficult to choose a MOTM as all the players were superb and not for the first time.

Yet again I was very impressed with Perez. Must be one of the best buys in the Premiership.

A great win, but didn’t we look like the away team most of the time? For the first 20 mins of the first half we were dire.

    TROLL SCUM ALERT****************

Interesting game today I thought we’d get well beaten today (as did 50% of the fans).
Posted at half time it was a good game. At the end I applauded the result saying it was tremendous.

Most posters, including the more vociferous anti Pardew folk came on applauding the performance/win.
Then we have that utter vile scumbag Jeff from Benwell coming on not to applaud the team but to have a go a my and somebody elses’ pre match posts.
Clear evidence of trolling where the priority on a great day like today is to disregard why most of us post on here -to support our team and have a go at another poster(s). Troll behaviour by a vile guttersnipe scumbag homophobic sewer mouthed arse. Ed should have banned him for good.

    Danton @ 10

I counted 5 Geordies on the field in the second half.

There can’t be many, if any, teams in the Premiership that can say that they have five local lads in their first team.

Collo did well as did the whole defence today.
Dummett and Janmaat give great balance to the team.
Janmaat had several great runs today.
Ayoze did amazingly on the flank and helped out loads against <hazard.
Tiote was much better in the second half but defo Colback With the Challenges and cool passing was best for me.
Alnwick did really well in the air several times on his debut against a physically strong team.
    Brilliant result.

the players we see in these teams getting us these great performances proves we ourselves are just football manager and fifa gamers when deciding who is the main players.

obatan over cabbella, arrons for gouffran, sammy for cabbella and gouffran, dummett for hadaira and saylor for willo all these players would have been no where near the starting 11 had us bloggers been the manager of this club, so he might make some weird decisions but he most certainly knows more about team selection than we do.

Ok great, but this is the third time under Pardew we’ve put together a decent side and threatened the top clubs. We need to stay there. Seven and half years is plenty enough time to figure it out. This is where we belong. Keep us there Mike.

What a game to be at. What a gritty, steely performance. So exciting that Taylor, true to form, lost his head and nearly blew it. I can’t stand having to hang on like that.

Had to laugh at the post match interviews -for once King Percy did a decent interview but Jose whinged on about time wasting at the end. Seemed he was saying the off field players were retaining the ball and there was nothing the ref could do about it – technically wrong I think as all squad members can be sancioned by the ref. But good to see him whinging and squirming.

Most put in tremendous performances. Easier to say who didn’t. At times Tiote looked like he was playing with a bottle of champagne in his hand and having a swig from time to time. Cabella was lost. Need more aggression from Sammy. I predicted the flawed performance Taylor would give us. Overall, well worth it.

    Toon-brother.

Im not convinced even now. Im not a fan of the lazy persona of the Ameobi’s. It irk’s me.

Put someone in who can really shift and I think we could do better there. He’s done alright but I feel we could do better. As a club we should be looking to always upgrade and I think that area ticks the box.

We have just beat the best team in Europe though this needs a special mention. All credit to the lads.

I’ve had a bit of time to breathe and I’ve been thinking about Saylor’s sending off. Had a brilliant game despite it, but the way he tried to protect Alnwick was commendable. I wonder if him getting sent off did a bit more for the young lads confidence? He certainly grew into the game (the save for Luis’ shot was magnificent – the ball was moving all over the place), and Saylor being sent off meant that he didn’t have to deal with a penalty!

Colback was my MOTM. Mourinho wasn’t very gracious in defeat. No where near as good as the invincible team of Arsenal some yrs ago. Mind u Arsenal not looking so good now!
