Just like at Arsenal 21 year-old Ayoze Perez is once again our Man of the Match in last night’s 4-0 defeat at Tottenham in the Capital One Cup.
Ayoze Perez – another good game for Newcastle
Ayoze Perez has been a great success for Newcastle so far this season, and he’s not only threatening up front, but he works his socks off for the side.
Ayoze captured 32% of the vote followed by the returning Moussa Sissoko, who put in another strong performance for Newcastle and got 27% of the vote.
And the good news is that Moussa was taken off with a knock last night, but will fit to start the game on Sunday against Sunderland, which is good news.
And third in the voting was goalkeeper Jak Alnwick with 15% of the vote, and we can only think Jak got some sympathy votes in there.
We don’t know what will happen before Sunday and whether Newcastle can get an emergency goalkeeper in – although we don’t think we qualify unless Jak is really injured.
And the breaking news is that Jak is fit for Sunday, so Newcastle don’t qualify for an emergency loan deal.
If Jak is in goal on Sunday against local rivals Sunderland, he will get some great encouragement from the Newcastle fans.
The fans will do their very best to help the local lad through what will be a tough game for Newcastle – given all the players we have out injured at the moment.
Howay The Lads!!

I’ve been adamant I wasn’t going to judge rivvy until he either got played on the left in a 4-3-3, which as you say has been mentioned previously as his best position or actually received support in the dreadful 4-2-3-1, neither of which has happened. There’s something about him that I like. Not sure what but I think he could come good for us although there’s always the nagging feeling if deployed in a 4-3-3 that he’d be goofy mark 2. Or is it Jonas mark 3.
