Newcastle Team Just Announced – Five Geordies Start

nufc emblemsunderland fc emblem

Alan Pardew has just announced his team for the first Tyne Wear derby of the season and Papiss Cisse starts on the bench.

Newcastle will play in a 4-3-3 formation – and here are the two teams:

Newcastle: Alnwick; Janmaat, Coloccini (c), S.Taylor, Dummett; Sissoko, Colback, Tiote; Gouffran, Perez, Ameobi.
Subs: Woodman, Haidara, Williamson, Cabella, Armstrong, Riviere, Cisse

Sunderland: Pantilimon; Reveillere, O’Shea, Brown, Vergini; Cattermole, Larsson, Gomez, Johnson; Wickham, Fletcher.
Subs:

That’s five Geordies in Newcastle’s starting line-up today and Daryl Janmaat returns at right back after serving his one game suspension.

So Pardew has elected to start Ayoze Perez up front and then bring on Papiss Cisse some time in the second half, and Gouffran again gets the nod over Remy Cabella, but we are glad to see young Adam Armstrong on the bench.

Certainly the bench is a lot stronger than it was on Wednesday night at Tottenham.

Alan Pardew is hoping he will not become the first Newcastle manager ever to lose four games in a row to Sunderland – so are we!!

The workhorse Goffran in, he treally does not deserve the start, so disappointed ABOUT THAT, NO WIDTH AGAIN, hes such a twat that man Pardew, lilly livered. so scred to get beat, i think we would all take a draw, and i hate saying that.

Williamson Collocini partnership broken finally. That is good sign.Gouffran is not a winger but all other solutions are poorer than him.No left winger no right winger and he must jump in.

Gouffran on the right is disappointing, but other than that I think it is pretty much as good as we can do. I’d have preferred to see any of the other options for the third attacking slot to be honest, but it is no surprise.

Still there is more than enough in that side to win today. As long as they go out and take it to Sunderland.

Bills, i hope Gouffy scores, but young Arma would have been perfect for this game, yea Pardew may bring him on later he may not, Gouffran simply does not deserve a start.

Catchy. for this game yes I would start him. Cabella will be bullied out of the game in a derby. He wll be more effective as a sub later on when the intensity has died down.

very very disappointed with gouffran selection. i feel the others deserve the place more. he has been offering nothing.

but i trust pardew and i hope he knows what he’s doing. who knows.. gouffy might turn up with a hat trick later.

    Why is Gouffran starting….
If Abeid is injured then I understand Tiote starting.

Sissoko is gonna be a key player for us
