By our reckoning Newcastle now have 11 first team players injured right now although a couple of them could be fit for tomorrow’s home game against Everton – Paul Dummett and Sammy Ameobi are both suffering from knocks.
Roberto Martinez – sweating with five players injured
Everton are also struggling with injuries and the headlines today on Merseyside are that the Toffees had five players injured – and that’s looked on as being a calamity.
Newcastle now have suffered four defeats in a row, which even seems par for the course under Alan Pardew – we are either doing great or we are doing poorly – and currently it’s the latter.
But we are hoping we can switch things – and go on another winning streak – starting tomorrow.
What do you think?

Comment #1I said last month we won’t win a game in December but was shot down by some pardew sympathisers. It’s shocking we can continuously go on these runs.
Armstrong is being talked up in the media but the fact remains he’s not ready for 1st team football. We have Riviere and ferrerya doing nothing. Send Armstrong out on loan and get him the game time he needs because at the moment he won’t make it in the prem as he’s simply not good enough. He needs to develop more. Pardew has had success with the youngsters and now he’s going over board by selecting a 17 year old to play man utd away…..Having said that paddy mcnair had Armstrong in his pocket all day!!

Comment #4Tiote will be back, that’ll slow our game down to snails pace.
Gouffran will get another run out with SAMMY injured.
We really need someone to create Somethin out of nothing to get the next win.
Hopefully Perez or Arma can take on their defence with jagielka out and injured.
Not expecting a win but a draw, although a win would be nice

Comment #5The only saving grace is that we couldn’t see a win coming before Leicester and we got six in a row, he only has to mange another five wins and five draws this season, surely he can manage that !

Comment #6Armstrong not good enough? Totally disagree and actually think this kid could be our saviour. He’s got an excellent first touch, makes great runs and once he settles and hits the back of the net for the first time he’ll prove you wrong. I’m probably one of the few who hope we don’t buy a striker next month but spend the money on a defender so that Armstrong will get a chance. Although anything but happy with our current situation, at least some youngsters have got a chance to show what they’re about.

Comment #7Dummet needs to partner colo to stop the rot at the back. I’d hope Pardew isn’t stupid enough to repeat the Armstrong mistake as the kids not ready to play premiership football. His touch is irrelevant he’s only 17 and not at all the tonic that perez needs next to him. Unfortunately I’ve got a feeling Everton will come away with three points they have the benefit of a manager that’s not an arrogant chancer.
