Our Man Of The Match Fast Becoming A Revelation On Tyneside

For the fourth game in a row our Man of the Match is 21 year-old Ayoze Perez, who has easily won the poll for yesterday’s game with 80% of the vote.

Ayoze Perez in action yesterday – easily our best player

The 21 year-old Spaniard was brought in for a measly €2M in the summer from Spanish second division club Tenerife, and the initial plan was for him to play in the Development squad for the Newcastle U21 side.

But he shone immediately in pre-season, and this lad is improving very quickly and he was easily the pick of the bunch yesterday for Newcastle at Old Trafford in the 3-1 defeat.

We’re sure he will have caught the attention already of a number of big clubs, so if he keeps improving like he has done already this season, we could lose him to a bigger club some time in the future.

That’s always possible with the way Newcastle is run by Mike Ashley, who just doesn’t have enough ambition for the club to be a good owner.

If Ashley would only spend all the money we are now making as a club,  and invest it all straight back into the club in terms of improving the facilities and bringing in new players – he’d be a decent owner.

Second in the voting was local lad Adam Armstrong, who looked impressive in spells and simply needs to play more for the first team to improve and reach his vast potential – hopefully at Newcastle.

Moussa Sissoko also looked good in patches, and he’s third in the voting followed by another local lad Jack Colback – who is probably our most consistent player this season.

Jack’s turned out to be another great buy for us as a free agent from Sunderland.

blossom into the player that he’s looking like becoming……..early day’s but such a talent.

We have defended well this year against top teams, I think he means this season and even then we haven’t as our minus GD would suggest, for the record Alan, this year Man U have put three and four past us as have Arsenal, Spurs have put four past us twice, Southampton, not a real top team have hit us for four twice as well, Chelsea only a measly three and Everton at home managed a cheeky three as well, and we’ve managed six clean sheets in 43 league and cup games but apart from that I suppose we defended well

Ashleys running of the club is like feeding them 2p machines. Why frustrate yourself like that, put the money in and reap the rewards.
The top 4 is there for the taking should he plough about 80 million in.
Go on Mike, roll the dice.
