Newcastle 3 Everton 2 – Video Highlights

papiss cisse scores everton

Papiss Cisse after scoring Newcastle’s first goal

Here is the video – just wait a little for the adverts – it’s over three minutes from NBC Sports and one of the commentators is former Newcastle winger Chris Waddle – he’s the one with the Geordie accent – of course.

A decent performance against a very poor Everton side.We started on the back foot again which they took advantage of scoring inside of 5 minutes. From then on it was mostly us asking the questions.Overall a deserved 3 points.

Can people stop going on about how poor Everton were ?Not Pardews biggest fan at all but we hounded them today and kept possession well which meant they looked poor

A bit like when we got pounded off Spurs , Arsenal and Man Utd recently all of those teams were there for the taking and Pardew set us up all wrong and they made us look Championship level Everton are a team in our mini league at home we should be beating and it was fairly comfortable apart from our defensive laps they did not look like scoring

Thought Cabella looked dangerous when he came on he has to start against Burnley but Riviere is a worry he has no confidence and does not even put himself about Cisse looked good today was winning headers and holding the ball up pretty good Everton defenders were scared of him

On the red card incident well what goes around comes around Roberto !! A bit of justice for the Haidara incident !!

    Ffs Manx.

    What are you? The Anti-Catchy?!?!
Honestly, if what you say is not agreed with 100% you argue you head off over it. Everton are currently a poor side. We did great and took total advantage of that, and played very well in the process. I am very clearly not the only one who sees it that way.

I support nufc so I give credit to them especially when its due I couldn’t give a shit about other teams form or how there playing I watched the full game and after going 1 down we dominated and harrassed them for the remainder of the game stopped them having possession and attacked at every opportunity! So as a nufc fan I feel I should actually point out the good things especially on here! Look at the dry up of posts after we equalise! The moaners are only happy when they moan full stop!

Sky Sports saying P45DUE still to make his appearance for post match interview – Sky also say the rumours about him being favourite to be C Palace next Manager.
Gary Neville cant see why he would have any interest at all in going to Palace.
If they offer FCB enough money, even P45DUE could be sold lol

What nutmeg said. Deserved 3 points especially coming from behind. Perez by far the motm for me. Still think goofy should be nowhere near the starting 11 tbh. The same for the carthorse willo.

Finally something to cheer about over the Christmas holidays but even sweeter for me as I’m surrounded by red noses and blue noses.

Remember what citeh fans used to say about goater? Feed the goat and he’ll score….step forward cisse.

Got no nails left and rather sloshed after that.

    repost
    Lilongwe

I had a similar debate the other week about Liverpool boss Rodgers. He was another manager who last year was being so well hyped up and viewed as an astonishing one, he seems to minic pardew in the manner, lose one key player and disaster, pardew was always the fault when we loose the likes of cabaye and ba. Sort of similar really?

So supposedly Pardew has already set off for talks with Ashley about heading to Palace. Carver doing the post match duties, so adds a bit of credence to the rumours…

this blog could well turn into a cival war.

one side the anti ashleys- people who insist that we might as well stick with pardew because we will get just as bad coming in

other side the anti pardew- people who expecting and believe we can do much better with a new one and can get a quality manager.

people like myself will be saying right now, if I am to accept being proven wrong then I don’t want our next manager to be one like moyse or pulis, it must be a one that can manage CL or Europa league consistently.

What am i on about? Your blind faith. Your refusal to accept anyone else has a different opinion to you, even if only differs slightly. I and many others gave credit to our performance, but also said everton are poor. Hardly everyone being negative is it? We played well. Everton are poor. Pardew is still an overly negative manager tactically. Thats how i see things. I am not the only one.

Still expect Beardo to take over if Pards does go. Not thrilled by that prospect, although it would pay off my long term bet from Feb this year.

Pardew could well be off – oh the scenes if it happens.

Favourite with bookies, some even stopped taking bets on him and now a no-show at the post-match presser. Seemed a little aloof and restrained in his celebrations on the touchline too.

    Plot thickens.

I thought we played well today and could’ve had a few more. Cabella must be wondering what he has to do to get a goal for NUFC. Should’ve scored tbh. Well pleased with 3 points though. Now for Burnley!

    Manx,
But nobody has said that. Yes Everton were poor but I haven’t seen anyone say that we didn’t play well.

    Beer,
I agree, it would be an odd move for him. I don’t know how well thought of he is after his playing days at Palace, maybe it is a return to a club he cares about. Was he a Palace fan as a kid? It might be a club he holds close to his heart, similar to SBR taking us on despite our previous managerial casualties and poor standing when he arrived.

    Reasons why he might –

    Pay rise
    London
Old club he has an attachment of some degree to
To be one of few managers to walk out on the NUFC job for another (when did that last happen?) and boast about how he ‘did well’ there, which is still the media narrative and most of the fans perspective in the country outside of NUFC
