Can Newcastle Beat Burnley Tomorrow?

Alan Pardew will likely be announced as the new Crystal Palace manager sometime today, but life goes on and Newcastle host second bottom Burnley tomorrow at St. James’ Park in a 3:00 pm kick off game.

It’s the first game of the post Pardew era at Newcastle and the first game of 2015, which we hope is a better year than this year has turned out to be.

Burnley are coming off a great result at Manchester City on Sunday, when they were 2-0 down at half time but came back to get a 2-2 draw, and certainly their form has been improving of late.

John Carver will be in charge of Newcastle for the next few games, and he will give a press conference today for this game.

Papiss Cisse is not available after picking up a three match ban for violent conduct,  and we should hear from Carver who is available for the game tomorrow.

Maybe Jonas Gutierrez can be on the bench after he played another 90 minutes yesterday in a behind the scenes game that saw Davide Santon play 60 minutes but pick up an ankle injury.

It would be an inspiration to the fans and our players to see the Argentine winger on the bench tomorrow, and even get some playing time in the second half.

Jonas to score the winner?

We need some inspiration from somewhere.

    Mag52,
I get your point about Mashley being the snakes head, but MAoc tried to unite the fans to get rid of him. Every time it seemed to gather moment his patsy seemed to pull a result out of the hat for him, ie the day 5K leaflets were distributed ny the Chronicle and handed out by the likes of me, his mouthpiece inspired the team to a 2-0 win and dedicated the win to him even after another barren transfer window. Mike Ashley was going nowhere while he had such a willing patsy in charge. The stakes are entirely different now, any manager half decent coming in has seen what Pardew has had to work with over four years and demand concessions, as I’ve said Mashers may well scrape the barrel until he finds a yes man, remember that he has to protect his asset as well, 300M is a lot at stake even for a billionaire.

All you guys screaming for Pardew’s head without realising that it should have always been Cashley getting the abuse and banners made in his name finally have what you want.

Now looks like Cisse will leave in Jan along with Sissoko, Ashley still at the helm, Pirez will probably be sold for 6M in the next 18months, people saying go for DeBoar, Klopp, Rafa etc…..

    Cumon guys, seriously!

Better the devil you know and all that jazz. I became annoyed at some of APs decisions but we all know Ashley who will go for the easiest and cheapest option in recruiting a new gaffa, will cash in on any player to line his pockets and continue to giggle to his fat self at us lot!

I asked for pardews head, I also know that MA is the problem which is why I avoid all things MA. I will never pay to watch our lads until MA leaves, am I scared at the thought of the next appointment? NO

Pardew should have gone every season since finishing 5th, the guy was a joke. Unlike you I don’t live in fear, fans have power problem is we are spineless to even use the power we have.

How can we judge Carver yet? He didn’t pick the team last season, did he? Let’s see what he does tomorrow.

Our-Toon > I dont live in fear, just anger towards Ashley for ruining this club from the ground up.

He is a virus eating away more and more each season he is here.

The inept one leaving is the first breath of fresh air I have been able to breath in four years. He was totally out of his depth with us. I don’t worry about who will replace because in my honest opinion the tea lady could do a better job. Things had to change and I for one am over the moon.

The sooner confirmation arrives of the serial conman going to Palace the better.

I’m trying to not get too pleased until then.

If Ashley gets the managerial list from Carr, I hope there will be some player-equivalent names on there rather than the British merry-go-round dross who we usually see playing musical clubs (chairs).

Toon Tom; Pardew’s record over the last 18 months was shocking.
You do realise you have contradicted yourself, better the devil you know, but not in Ashley’s case.
Personally I would rather lose Pardew than Ashley for the simple reason there will be another manager willing to do the job. There isn’t a queue of potential owners waiting to buy the club.
Fact is Ashley wanted Pardew out otherwise he would have refused Palace permission to speak to Pardew and he would have had to knuckle down and get on with it.

Seriously,do you think Pards should’ve finished in 5th every season?…
    Lol
With the way he was treated at board level?
No players in for 3 windows.
We had less net spend than Derby county I’m sure.
Given scraps to use,it’s difficult to make a goldmine.
All of the top six spend 20mill and double that on each player,Pards got to spend 2.mill.
Typical KK era Toon fan, expecting CL and chasing a title or cup.
Forget it now,it ain’t gonna happen.
With Ashley here, just get yourself comfy in a chair and be happy with 9th-14th in the league,he thinks you should be kissing his feet for having the club in such a good position and not you or I can change his mind.
