67% Expect This Result Today Against Burnley

First of all let us wish a Happy New Year to all of our readers around the world on this first day of 2015, and let’s hope we have a much better year at Newcastle than we had last year.

Maybe in the top six by May? 😀

John Carver – caretaker manager this afternoon

And two in three fans think the post Pardew period at Newcastle will get off to a win this afternoon against Burnley at home, when caretaker manager John Carver will be in charges – assisted by Steve Stone and Peter Beardsley – a Geordie trio.

A win would take us to 29 points after 20 games and that wouldn’t be too bad at all.

And then we’d have to beat Leicester City away on Saturday to reach the 4th round of the FA Cup.

Burnley are coming off a 2-2 draw at the Etihad Stadium, so the game will not be easy.

Howay The Lads!!

Hoping for a strong attacking performance today, Carver needs to show that he’s got his own plan and that’s he’s not going to pick the same old players regardless of form.

Predicting what 2015 will bring under FMA is stupid. Here goes:
3-0 up after 45 minutes today.
Roberts to be on the bench today.
    Reach 5th round FA cup.
Carver boss until summer, then Beardsley.
    No relegation.
    Cisse, Sissokot, Toyota all sold.
    before next season.
    Harper back as Goalkjeeping coach.

Wouldn’t mind McLaren, he’s got a decent record at club level, has managed abroad and has got Derby playing some good stuff.

McLaren is the best English option.

I’m not sure Ashley would go for a foreign coach.

Pardew was the perfect puppet … he’ll take some replacing, he span and span and span Ashley’s lies with no problem.
A huge ego and no integrity.
Pardew will take some replacing from outside PR-wise.

If Carver has a good run of games … then he’s a cheap option that has worked for the pig’s regime.

    We need Ashley out asap.
Let’s hope he goes to Rangers 100%.

Yes good luck to JC and the team today.
A free flowing attacking win for us would be a great start to 2015. I don’t expect that.
For me 3 points will do just fine.

Ok Catchy. You’ve got your wish, Pardew’s gone… Now what?

Any idea where we go from here?

Can we take it thst all those who wanted Pardew out feel happy now?

Given our owner’s track record, can we assume that Pards’ critics’ll be delighted at the prospect of the Championship next season?

Grass, greener, other side…. ? Another fine mess…..?

Let’s just hope that Ashley gets it right this time and 2015 turns out to be a good one – otherwise there’ll be a lot of very pi$$ed off people around
