You are joking? Never mind the players. Talk about the 4400 supporters who turned up today. Out of pocket and ripped off.

Laudrup would be a poor choice, we need a disciplinarian who can shake things up and provide some authority as well as be a good coach and tactician. Laudrup is a good coach, average tactician and very poor with discipline and organisation.

Things is, as painful as it is, I’d rater wait till the summer and bear out the rest of this season with carver, and then get a top young manager like de boer or Tuchel rather than just get a Mcclaren now

This vote will be fun. No one actually saw the game. I went for Satka, I don’t even know what he looks like.

It’s good that we get fans travelling to games but why do you feel sorry for the ones that paid money to see that today? We’ve made it abundantly clear that we don’t care about cups. Why travel to a game when you know the motto is lose at all costs?

Which brings me back to George. Mr Burley that is. He’s virtually Geordie compared to Pardew. He lives handily nearby I think. I think he would be prepared to live in a caravan until he could get a council flat sorted.

Toonking….playing-wise be haven’t been a good team for more than 18 months

Some of the players you mentioned have had a few great games, but I won’t be highlighting Obertan, Saylor or Dummett just yet.

Abeid, Aarons and Perez are the surprise packet this season I would say.

As someone mentioned it’s difficult to really see any changes unless we get a new head coach and back-room staff. If Ashley pulls a Hughton on us I do fear for this season.

It was broadcast on local radio and they Mick Lowes said Cabella was our best player and had the ball in the net at one point .

He needs to start in our team over Gouffran ASAP .

I was in the car earlier so was listening to bbc newcastle and some proper commentators they were saying it was a bad game with no quality from both sides. Both teams would keep losing the ball and not do anything with it and the only time a team managed to show a bit of quality and string a few passes together was when we scored. Unfortunately it got ruled out, soon after they score from a set piece. Both teams I think made 7 changes and I think it showed as we definitely played like a team of strangers. I think we really need wingers in our team, even with the likes of Sissoko and Perez etc.

Pretty much exactly how i expected today to go, from selection to performance

Players were always going to be “injured” for today, the youngsters were always going to be hoyed in to the lions and Carver was always going to stick with what he’s learnt from Pardew, lies, negative set ups and the best way to impress the board….exit the cup

We as a blog had many many many discussions about Pardew, most included his coaching set up when talking about change, well we still have the coaching set up he constructed operating under the coaching styles he implemented

Like any club who rid themselves of the manager, little will change until an appointment is made and he arrives with his own coaches and his own ideals

If we keep Carver, we will be bottom 3 come the end of the season imo.

    Our Toon

NUFC fans have always been the same. Lead down the garden path of promises of better things to come only to hit a wall of sh1t. Carver went on as though the FA CUP meant something and the lads were up for it only to be shown a sh1t line up 1 hr before kick off. Complete shambles.

I think the fans would use the force on jc today if they could. And not in that nice ‘this ‘droid is with me’ blah blah ‘move along’ etc way. More in the chopping off limbs way.

it’s their own choice, people know the FA cup is no longer an important game, we saw leister field a second string 11. In all honesty pulis seems the most respectful of the lot for FA cup.

you might as well feel sorry for the fans who pay the money to watch rubbish they know will be repeated every week at home.

i would say these fans who go to games are idiots, which keep feeding ashley the money.

For me Obertan wastes good positions far too often, he’s scored against Leicester but he’s not had a real impact this season, the quality of his final ball is still poor but I suppose this is just how low our expectations have become.

Abeid, Perez, Colback, Sissoko, Cisse, Aarons have had a massive impact this season, the rest however have been very hit and miss

I am surprised that we were losing a cup match and needed to find a goal, we had one sub left and Campbell and gouffran on the bench yet didn’t use the last remaining sub to out a striker on the pitch. That’s confuses me.

It wont matter who we get as manager if Mashley dont sell us.
The only problem then being exactly who he sells us too as i can imagine he will shaft us as best he can once he sells.

Agree Tads. Carver et al need to be cleared out and a new lick of paint like a dusty spidery attic.

Until that happens, I think we as a fan base might look a bit shoddy for shoving it to the lads for doing what they’ve been employed to do.

Tads the only backroom staff that had been brought in is carver and a couple of fitness trainers the rest have been promoted from within
I feel the statement of looking for a “head coach” is exactly that and only that

Agreed, booing the players was a harsh end to the game, not many who travelled were regulars, a lot of young lads simply carrying out there instructions

Carver should hang his head setting up like that after all his SBR and Gary Speed in the dug out with me spiel, they would of slapped him if they were after that
